Production Manager

Have you worked on successful TV commercials and story-driven short-form video content for kids?

Are you skilled at planning, forecasting, allocating resource and working pro-actively with multiple stakeholders? Then we have a growing Production team within the The LEGO Agency that are looking for you to take the lead on production management for our global product campaigns.

Production, operations and traffic manager wrapped into one

In this bespoke role, you will work as both a production operations and traffic manager for a team of Producers, Post-production and Localization professionals and Motion Graphics specialists. This team oversees the production of our global video content. As operational lead, you will play an instrumental role in scoping the work required against each brief, working with the Head of Production to allocate the right people, time and budget to each production. You’ll be setting up processes to ensure that the team provides high value to the organisation and our LEGO clients. In particular, you:

• Maintain an accurate overview of the portfolio of productions from beginning to end, including post-production and deployment of video content; this involves managing the flow of briefs and the briefing process

• Ensure that appropriate resource is allocated to each project

•Are a subject matter expert on TV commercial and short-form story content production as well as production advisor

• Ensure compliance with our legal and child safety guidelines in our production of content sourced in via external partners and production houses

• Work with external vendors and the Procurement and Legal teams to ensure all productions are compliant, contractually approved and financially on-boarded in good time

Raise the bar for content production

In Content Operations, you will join a team of colleagues with a strong passion for content. As an area within the internal LEGO Agency, we support the content flow all the way from story development to the live consumer experience. Content creation is developing rapidly and taking on an increasingly large role in the LEGO marketing landscape. Put your expert knowledge into play when you advise, inspire and support your colleagues on how to raise the bar on planning production of content for kids.

Can you be our subject matter expert?

To be the best Production Manager for your colleagues, you are a subject matter expert, allowing you to break down any budget, zero in on opportunities for efficiency and put forward solutions that lead to high quality productions at the best value. Furthermore, you know your way around the production landscape and have a ‘little black book’ of contacts to add to the team’s network of freelancers and production companies.

You are able to navigate comfortably within a complex network of internal and external stakeholders as well as external partners and vendors. In addition, you:

• Have 5+ years of experience as a Production Manager, Project Manager, Operations Manager or the like, giving you relevant skills in video production and post-production

• Have a track record from production and/or dubbing studios on global productions, including production scheduling and budgeting

• Are ready to learn about legal requirements for content for kids to allow you to screen briefs and materials and advise the organisation

• Are up to date on trends relating to the production of TV commercials and video content types for other channels (e.g. YouTube)

• Have great communication skills, and are always positive in the face of change

Bringing it to life

”You will be able to shape production process and work with a wide range of production professionals, inside and outside the LEGO Group. Your challenge will be to ensure that you create an environment where productions and teams are fully scoped, leaving contingency and room for manoeuvre” says Charlie Henniker, Head of Production

Join the global LEGO® family

In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family with a global responsibility as a broad global network of colleagues and external partners. We look very much forward to reading your application - please remember to attach your application and a current CV in English.
