Program Manager, Process Sciences

FUJIFILM Diosynth biotechnologies in Hillerød, Denmark is looking for an experienced Program Manager Process Sciences to join the Program management and Technology Transfer organization.

Program management and Technology Transfer is a core function within Process Sciences. We are a growing team of 4 highly professional dedicated program managers with broad experience within pharmaceutical development and manufacturing of mainly mAb’s.

Program management and Technology Transfer is an organization embedded in the Process Science (PS) organization which is a department that provides scientific leadership to support clinical, PPQ and commercial processes in large scale Cell Culture manufacturing, Assembly, Label and Pack (Finished goods) and within a few years Drug Product too.

We lead Technology Transfers (TT) including the teams and as technical program leads maintain an overview of TT progress and at the same time look out for process compliance to filings, (CMC). We continuously strive to identify opportunities to improve systems and practices, and provide direction to our manufacturing group as well as technical development teams and our customers.

The work environment is informal, where we strive to have a lot of fun, while we keep a high pace.

The Role

The Program Manager Process Sciences is accountable for the planning & delivery of programs from the point of contract signature through program closure. The Program Manager ensures Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies Diosynth Denmark (FDBD) provides services in alignment with the contracted commitment to clients and the company’s vision and mission. In this role you typically handle an average load of 4-6 programs and receives coaching & guidance from the Head of Program Management.


  • Lead the planning and execution of programs in alignment with Program Management business case
  • On board with Sales Team and transition to become the primary liaison for program planning & execution
  • Engages impacted functional areas for inputs to ensure SOW elements are complete and realistic.
  • Ensure that the SOW is organized based on revenue-generating segments of work.
  • Ensure that financial activities & program milestones are aligned
  • Coordinate completion of the Contract elements
  • Develop and maintain Master Project Plan (MPP) including accurate durations & accountabilities for all revenue­ generating milestones throughout the scope of the program
  • Partner with the Sales Team to identify opportunities for additional work within the current contract.
  • Partner with functional roles who oversee planning & execution to ensure that MPP revenue generating milestones are accurately translated into functional deliverables
  • Understand the approach and details of pricing strategy and sure that all work requested beyond the SOW/contract is covered by change orders.
  • Conduct cross-functional Program Kick-offs

Governance/ Infrastructure

  • Organize, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams for each program.
  • Actively conduct risk management within and across programs.
  • Track and report program performance
  • Partner with the Finance Team to ensure accurate & timely completion of financial transactions
  • Attend and actively participate in Program Management department meetings.
  • Drive team adherence to MPP milestones
  • Attend and actively participate in S&OP meetings.
  • Work with Planning Team to look across programs and resolve conflicts.


BS /MS from a Scientific Field and several years of demonstrated Project/Program Management skills managing portfolio of programs

  • Must be skilled in Project & Program management and have excellent interpersonal and proven customer relationship management skills.
  • Experience from CDMO organization is an asset.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Program management.
  • In-depth knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations (DS / DP / FG) as well as CMC and regulatory aspects.
  • Customer Relationship Management.
  • Experience with cGMP & FDA regulations.
  • Knowledge of basic financial accounting.
  • Leading–coaching-developing-motivating large cross-functional teams to achieve targeted results.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: comfortably and clearly articulate issues across the organization.
