Project Manager for Business Support in HR Business Partnering

About the department

You will become part of the Business Support team in P&O Business Partnering. The team is responsible for driving projects, strategic cross organisational analyses as well as deliverables across organisational areas and levels to support the execution of the P&O Business Partnering ambition.


Our Business Support Team is brand new and at the moment we are only two persons in the team. You will be part of our pioneering journey towards finding the best ways to deliver on our strategy.


The tone in the department is informal and we are a group of people who thrive in a good working atmosphere with a direct communication style.


The position

You will report to the Executive Assistant (EA) for the Senior Vice President of P&O Business Partnering and be responsible for driving a variety of key projects and tasks – on both an operational, tactical and strategic level. Together with the team, you will ensure ‘house in order’ and enable the SVP area to deliver timely, transparent and high-quality solutions, collaboratively to all five Executive Vice President areas.


Further, to drive relevant priorities at the SVP level and at the corporate level (eg the Organisational Development PlanEmployer for the FutureTalent Incubator and Diversity & Inclusion) you will run regular as well as ad hoc analyses and prepare structured presentation material with a well-defined story line. You will facilitate and drive your deliverables in close collaboration with representatives from relevant areas, while ensuring alignment and buy-in from key stakeholders.


A good day is when you have concluded a task which you have driven independently, with input from relevant stakeholders. When you have managed to use your focus on the line of business to create a result which has made an impact in more business areas.



The person we are looking for has:


  • A relevant academic degree and you are fluent in English - both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think strategically and translate this to the business based on a thorough understanding of the challenges and future outlook
  • Solid interpersonal skills and motivation to drive change at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly (both verbally and in writing) and transform complex matters into a data supported storyline
  • Proven to be ambitious, challenge-seeking and result-oriented
  • Solid stakeholder management skills and strong personal integrity that allows you to offer your perspective respectfully
