You will join our Energy Transition division

As our new Project Manager in our Major Projects department, in either Esbjerg or Ørestad, you will be part of a department with experienced project managers and a project support team managing and executing our major multidisciplinary projects in our Energy Transition division. Our project portfolio covers design projects from early-phase studies through front end engineering design and detailed design to construction and commissioning and typically in the size of 20,000–100,000 hours. In addition, the department is also responsible for execution of EPCM projects in Ramboll.

Ramboll’s Energy Transition division consists of approx. 500 employees covering services such as design of substations for offshore wind farms, Power-to-X facilities for hydrogen production, gas and hydrogen pipelines, biofuel and bioconversion plants as well as transition of the oil & gas and power generation sectors to greener solutions.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will vary with project complexity however can be expected to encompass to some degree:

  • Manage small- to medium-size projects or assist a senior project manager with managing multidisciplinary projects from an early phase to completion.

  • Execute projects according to the Ramboll Project Execution Model and the common project management toolbox, also following client procedures and requirements.

  • Manage/monitor multidisciplinary local and remote teams in the execution of energy projects.

  • Develop and maintain client relationships and ongoing interaction with clients and stakeholders on project status, progress and expectations to improve client satisfaction.

  • Involvement with preparation of proposals, including contributing to the management of the proposal effort, execution strategy and financial strategy.

  • Drafting and presenting reports for clients and Ramboll management.

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited university.

  • 2 to 4 years of experience managing small-/medium-size projects or supporting a senior project manager on larger projects in the energy industry.

  • Working to achieve PMP certification is a plus.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and having an understanding of project scheduling software, e.g., MS Project/Primavera.

  • Good communication skills in English.
