Project Manager Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager Logistics who will be part of the team servicing Cement Projects globally. You will collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders.

 

About the department

In Global Procurement we handle purchasing, expediting and shipping of machinery & equipment to the Cement & Mining industry. As Project Manager Logistics you will be an integral part of our Export team, whom ensures the delivery of products to our customers worldwide. We co-operate closely with colleagues within Procurement as well as other internal stakeholders in Sales, Project Management etc., on delivery/commercial terms (e.g. Incoterms 2010), calculation of freight prices and other issues.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and coordinating shipments within timelines contractual agreed.
  • Compiling and arranging all export documentation upon shipments.
  • Handling inspection and/or insurance issues.
  • Approving and closely following up on shipping costs directly related to the project.
  • Consistently coordinating that all logistical matters are conducted in a timely manner.
  • Various kind of reporting.
  • Involved in handling procurement of freight services and related issues.

You will be the coordinator and mediator between the client, the project manager, freight coordinators and other internal incl. FLS Global offices and external partners involved in the projects. This will entail a strong focus on follow-up, high attention to details, coordination and collaboration/communication.

 

Your qualifications:

  • We believe you bring a relevant background within international transport and export documentations.
  • Extensive knowledge to Letter of Credit/UCP600 documentation and rules is required.
  • Min. 3-5 years of experience from working with international industrial clients/projects.
  • Previous experience from working with large international projects/deliveries will be considered and advantage.
  • You should be self-motivated and have great attention to details to be successful.
  • You are an excellent team player with strong coordination skills combined with a commercial mindset.
  • You must also have sound IT knowledge including experience with working in the Microsoft Office package and be excellent in verbal and written English.
