Based in our Lyngby office, you will be part of the Drilling Project Procurement team consisting of a number of Program Manager and Project Managers, who partner with the Technical Organisation in projects to ensure Maersk Drilling has a commercial optimal asset base. This is done through tailored Procurement Strategies, where Project Procurement establish a procurement team of specialist with knowledge and expertise within procurement and category areas relevant to the specific project.   

Project Procurement have the overall responsibility for planning, sourcing, tendering, contracting, and supply chain, including logistics related to projects owned by Maersk Drilling’s Technical Organization.   

Key Responsibilities  

You will be a member of an engaged Project Procurement team, which is part of the Maersk Drilling Global Procurement Department. You will manage projects related to capital investments, global cost drives and Procurement’s strategies. You will be exposed to both internal and external senior stakeholders and we expect a high degree of diligence, engagement and commitment.   

You main key responsibilities will be:  

  • Key procurement responsible to enable and coordinate efficient and effective project procurement strategies, activities, and execution of projects spanning across a wide range of categories, departments, and geographical areas  
  • Manage, handle and lead supplier negotiations individually or in cooperation with Category Management and Sourcing  
  • Drive procurement performance within a number of procurement teams established for each project. Hereunder overall responsible for reporting dashboards and monitoring procurement performance on given projects  
  • Ensure that project decisions considers Procurement’s best practices  
  • Drive and ensure proper procurement governance and processes are followed within procurement team and by stakeholders  
  • Accountability for stakeholder management and updates, problem solving, and driving insights and strategies from to Project Procurement and other procurement functions  
  • Closely cooperate with a wide range of stakeholders and across all procurement functions  
  • Contribute to development of procurement frameworks and processes. This includes activities from developing and improving procurement processes, templates and models to building the ideal negotiation strategy and execute accordingly.  
  • Deliver procurement benefits, realized savings, service level improvements, etc. and make sure these are perceived through measurement and follow-up  
  • Support ad hoc projects within different categories

  • Excellent English communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Strong communication skills, networking skills ad interpersonal skills through which you can engage with a broad range of colleagues and stakeholders      
  • Structured to govern processes, achieve deadlines and keep control of a diverse project pipeline
  • Ability to handle large negotiations with high complexity components
  • Confidence in dealing with a diverse and demanding array of stakeholders
  • Have Procurement and Project Management experience in a large corporation  
  • Experience developing procurement strategies  
  • In-depth knowledge and experience within procurement  
  • Ability to handle situations independently, work under minimal supervision, yet comfortable seeking guidance on complex issues
  • Ability to challenge status quo, identify opportunities and drive improvements and deliver results
  • Have an educational background in Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management or similar
  • Confident managing Excel, Power Point and in general MS Office tools
