The Research and Portfolio Management Proposition Sales Specialist will be tasked with executing our strategy for long term balanced growth through their understanding of market and competitive dynamics and driving Sales execution.

Role Responsibilities

You will be selling our PORT solution - This is a comprehensive solution for the analysis of multi-asset class portfolios – encompassing cross-asset attribution, contribution, performance and style analysis. It enables portfolio managers to better understand why a portfolio has performed the way it has by identifying primary drivers of absolute and relative performance at a sector and security level. You can immediately see asset allocation, security characteristics and overall performance as well as top and bottom contributors to performance.

As a subject matter expert, you will act in support of Account Managers as a Solutions Sales Specialist focusing on all sales (new, cross-sells, up-sells) for the Research & Portfolio Management proposition in their given territory with both existing and new customers. You will lead on deals aligned to the Research & Portfolio Management proposition and serve accounts within a pre-determined territory. The role works in close partnership with internal stakeholders to proactively drive gross sales and revenue.

  • The role will require the successful candidate strong direction setting and influencing skills to work with the local Account Management teams to deliver results

  • Provide in-depth customer and market insights, needs and problems, to identify new business opportunities and drive the sales process
  • Execute through strong collaborative relationships across matrixed functions, including Product, Marketing, Market Development, Account Management and external partners
  • Provide input to the creation and development of comprehensive business cases based on growth opportunities and ensuring alignment with the overall strategic direction.
  • Supervise all aspects of key competitors, analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and develop strategies to achieve driven advantage
  • Deliver customer demonstrations on the Research & Portfolio Management offering
  • Drive thought leadership agenda as the internal and external spokesperson for your proposition, supporting community building
  • Strong business acuity and commercial strategy skills
  • Able to influence individuals as well as groups in meetings
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a high performance environment
  • Your skillset and knowledge:

  • We are seeking someone who has a good understanding of; Financial markets, asset management, Portfolio Analytics as well as buy- and sell-side research
  • Experience in selling desktop solutions or have familiarity with the likes of Eikon /Bloomberg / Workspace
  • World class selling skills (identify, develop, & articulate proposition/ consultative selling) as a “hunter”
  • Strong sales ‘closer’
  • Significant Product and Workflow Expertise (e.g. knowledge of financial modeling, Excel, MS Office, Portfolio Analytics); knowledge of portfolio analytics or tech / data apps
  • Creative thinker and good sales ideation skills
  • Presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coordinate and execute a sales plan
  • Executive presence
  • Proven track record in a quota bearing sales environment
  • Experience selling to C- level executives
  • Languages are a Plus!
