Quality Engineer in Devices & Supply Chain Management

As Senior Quality Engineer you will carry a great responsibility in our striving towards strengthening Novo Nordisk’s position as an innovative pioneer and respected industry leader. Join us in Device Manufacturing and Sourcing (DMS) and play a central role in the communication with the supply chain for the production of medical devices regarding complaint handling. This could be your chance having a key role in the root cause investigations, improving quality systems, coaching and challenging our international suppliers on a daily basis.

About the department
Quality Support is located in Hillerød in nice surroundings and new facilities approximately 30 kilometer north of Copenhagen. We are looking for a structured and dedicated person for our team of 14 Quality Engineers. We handle Customer Complaints and Non-conformities (NC) for all Novo Nordisk prefilled devices from our international customers. We review and challenge root cause investigations and drive a continuous development of this competence at the suppliers.

The position
In close dialogue with QA, Process Experts, Device Manufacturing Development (DMD) and R&D you will handle complaints from when they are received until the complaints are concluded by QA.

Your role will be to facilitate systematic problem solving internally or conducted by supplier and ensure communication to our global assembly and packaging sites.

Another important part of your job will be to provide SPS training for our suppliers and colleagues in DMS. You will perform effective CAPA investigations to prevent failures, just as you have a keen eye for continuously improving and enhancing our flow and systems.

Furthermore, you will spearhead major NC and potential recall investigations. You will have close cooperation with key stakeholders with the aim to improving lead time and Right First Time. The purpose is to safeguard patient safety and improve product quality by ensuring a good root cause investigation and corrective actions.

Your job area will be within the fields of advanced injection moulding, decoration and assembly for medical devices. We have internal production and outsourcing partnerships located in Scandinavia, Europe, USA and Brazil. We expect you to have a yearly travel frequency of about 10-20 days.

Qualifications
You have extensive experience from a comparable position at least 2 years topped with a degree in Engineering or one of the Natural Sciences. In addition, you have solid insight into project and quality work, including GMP. This background has given you comprehensive understanding of how to facilitate NC processes and you are used to working with quality and Lean. If you have experience with A3, 8D or other systematic problem solving or lean models, it will definitely be an advantage.

You are goal-oriented, known for being organised and for taking responsibility for your tasks. You thrive on solving complex tasks by constructive communication based on your knowledge, understanding of quality and you never compromise on patient safety.

On a personal level you are ambitious and have a great interest in developing yourself. You use your dedicated and determined approach to complete your tasks in close cooperation with your colleagues. You are independent and not afraid to take initiatives and you contribute positively and actively to the friendly team environment. Lastly, you master English on an intermediate communication level.
