R2R Engineer in

We are an international research group working in the field of organic solar cells (SDU NanoSYD OPV), looking for a highly motivated R2R Engineer to join our research team at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), SDU NanoSYD, Sønderborg, in the field of Roll-to-Roll (R2R) processing of flexible devices, having a strong focus on up-scaling of organic photovoltaics and supercapacitors. The position is permanent and available as of March 1st, 2019.

At the Organic Photovoltaics group lead by Associate Prof. Morten Madsen at SDU NanoSYD, Mads Clausen Institute, SDU campus Sønderborg, the focus is on development of flexible photovoltaic devices with improved performance, including device stability and up-scaling. The group has full access to an ISO5 cleanroom and surface science laboratory facility for the full preparation and characterization of organic solar cells, and a production facility for roll-to-roll development of flexible devices. The research group is partner in various national and international research projects and networks that include both university and industrial collaboration partners.

The position is linked to the Roll-to-Roll (R2R) facility, where the successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and carrying out R2R printing processes for a variety of applications, having a main focus on organic photovoltaics and supercapacitors. The candidate is also expected to work on R2R equipment maintenance and updates, in order to adopt the facility to new R2R processing requirements. The candidate will work in strong collaboration with researchers working on R2R device technology, in order to implement new research outcomes in the R2R printing processes at the University.

Candidates who have a previous Bachelor degree in a field relevant to the areas mentioned above may seek the position. Preferred candidates have experience with thin film processing techniques and R2R printing processes, ideally Sheet-to-Sheet (S2S) and Roll-to-Roll (R2R) printing processes from both slot-die coating and vacuum deposition techniques. The candidates should possess good teamwork and collaboration skills, as routinely interaction with researchers and technical staff members will take place.

  the project in question (max. two pages)
• Reference letters, signed  Form for reference letter (letter of
