R&D Cell Specialist

Do you want to work with research related to cells that improve our Point of Care Analyzer products? This is your chance to contribute to how we can develop new ways to help diagnose critically ill patients based on blood samples.

 

Join the New Technology team

Reporting to Frank Nielsen, who has been part of developing Radiometer's products for many years; you join an exciting team focusing on bringing future technologies into our products.

You will have a central role in the development of a new platform for cell analysis together with a highly engaged and dedicated team. Your main responsibility, as a cell specialist, will be the development of reagent solutions, including quality controls, and reference method, leveraging the team’s knowledge on blood cells and their natural behavior. Team collaboration is a key focus and we work in an environment where everybody strives to achieve the common goal.

External collaborating with partners from a Danish hospital and DTU are also an important part of this job and we collaborate globally across other Danaher companies as well.

Your responsibilities

Depending on your background and experience you will be working with some of the following related to blood cell research:

  • Development of reagents for blood cell staining and lysing
  • Development for reference method
  • Development of QC (quality control)
  • Leverage department’s level of cell competence
  • Writing protocols, planning experiments and analyzing data
  • Collaboration with lab techs and external collaborators from our Danish hospital partner
  • Supporting external partners with publications

 

Travelling activities are limited and estimated to be less than 10% of time

 

Qualifications

Preferably, you have a PhD related to Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology, Pharmacy and Nano Science. This combined with most of the following increase your chances of success:

  • Cell competence
  • Laboratory experience with testing methods such as staining and imaging cells
  • Writing protocols
  • Analyzing of quantitative data, e.g. images of blood cells
  • Experience with physical chemistry
