About the department
As our new Risk and Control Consultant, you will be part of the Projects & Controls department comprised of 8 ambitious and experienced employees. The department is a part of Corporate Accounting, a central finance unit at Novo Nordisk. The team’s primary responsibility is to ensure that Novo Nordisk has established robust financial processes and internal controls and to consult Line of Business in order to achieve a more efficient approach to compliance in the global organisation.

The team is also responsible for driving optimisation, simplification and standardisation initiatives across the global finance organisation by ensuring progress on the financial digital agenda. We use our knowledge and expertise regarding risk identification and risk mitigation in relation to Financial, Social & Environmental Reporting. Our work is carried out in close cooperation with Line of Business and IT across the world who we assist in relation to their risk and internal control challenges.

The position
As Risk and Control Consultant, you have a focus on moving our control environment and compliance programmes to an even higher level by driving a digital agenda. Your primary responsibility will be to perform ongoing risk assessments of our financial processes enabling you to streamline and drive digital transformation through our global organisation. Together with Line of Business, you continuously seek for digital solutions to optimise and standardise our global control environment and you finally act as a link between Line of Business and internal/external auditors.

Secondly, you will use your consultant mind-set to drive and engage in specific cross-functional projects with focus on digital transformation to ensure that we continue to be a best-in-class function. You will gain expert knowledge within risks and controls, and design innovative solutions which are value adding to the business. You will obtain insight into the many business areas and principles of the Novo Nordisk group and be able to develop a large network across the global organisation.

You will thrive in a cheerful international working environment with flexible and balanced working hours throughout the year including up to five weeks of travel for business and educational purposes.

Qualifications
You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in IT or Auditing and Finance and you have 3-5 years of experience working with auditing or assessment of financial processes in a large accounting or international company.

You are a high performer and internationally oriented person who can independently perform risk assessments, analysis and make decisions. You are proactive and have an engaging personality, want to work with a high degree of responsibility and have the ability to stay focused when working under pressure. You have strong communication skills and value interaction with management and other stakeholders.

You are fluent in both written and spoken English on a professional level, willing to travel when the job requires, and also ready to invest both time and effort in your personal and professional development.
