POSITION PROFILE

As an Operational Advisory Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the market units RISE Sales Engagements, including facilitation of handover to the relevant delivery team/s. This will include, but not be limited to:

  • Advice and guidance to sales teams on the operational setup required for RISE.
  • Supporting market unit teams to create a plan for all activities across the sales team, the presales team, and the RISE operations team as needed (please note that the sales team will continue to own the Deal Closure plan in CRM, but key dates and activities in the closure plan should be represented in the combined plan).
  • Drive the adoption and execution of an end-to-end customer engagement framework that executes on upstream (sales, functional advisory, value advisory, cost optimization) and downstream (operational, cloud infrastructure and delivery advisory) to customers, to drive sales and deliver growth.
  • Enablement and support to identify the right players in various cloud teams to bring into the deal discussions and customer discussions
  • Provision of templates to run RISE workshops, including the major deliverable/s required to give customer assurance around the RISE setup/offering
  • Planning and quality assurance of the market unit deliverables both internal and external (e.g. Workshop input and output documents), ensuring appropriate internal reviews are completed prior to any deliverables being issued to the customer.
  • Defining and running SAP internal governance and checkpoint meetings (e.g. start of day / end of day meetings).
  • Providing updates to key internal stakeholders to an appropriate cadence (cadence may vary by engagement, but for key engagements this can mean daily updates).
  • Maintaining a risk log for each engagement, and running or ensuring regular risk review workshops with the SAP Engagement Team
  • Creating and maintaining a joint delivery governance plan together with the RISE Delivery Advisor, Implementation Partner, SAP Services and the SAP CE&X teams
  • Engaging with the Customer in checkpoint meetings to review and agree joint activities (e.g. technical workshops).
  • Attendance and facilitation of workshops as appropriate with the customer.
  • Co-ordination of people within the SAP Engagement Team
  • Ensuring a handover from sales to the relevant delivery teams.
  • POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This role will require an experienced program manager who has:

  • A proven track record in delivering multi disciplined projects spanning on premise and cloud
  • A good understanding of stakeholder management
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross LoB environment, working in a virtual/remote mode
  • A strong network within SAP, both with on premise delivery teams and cloud delivery teams
  • Experience of presales engagements and sales processes within SAP
  • Good overall commercial awareness of services commercials, on premise project delivery commercials and cloud delivery commercials
  • Good communication skills
