SALES DIRECTOR - Nordics Region - Based in Denmark

  1. Increased value of products by means of more intelligent electromechanical materials
  2. Geographic and/or product portfolio expansion
  3. On the longer term: Revenue from services

The Nordic region is combining the following national markets: Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Project Sales concerns a sale in which the Group is actively involved in the sales process to project developers as a quoting party.

This business model is different from the business model and transactional go-to-market where the company sells products through a wholesale channel and is not involved directly in the final sales process nor decision process.

THE POSITION

The position concerns the responsibility of Sales Director Nordic Region.

This this role will be responsible and accountable for sales results within the Nordic Region and will report to the VP Sales based outside Denmark.

This person shall lift the sales organizations of all Nordics countries to a higher level of professionalism in project sales approach and transactional sales.

The company organization is represented in the Nordic markets.

The company has started the expansion of the selling portfolio in the Nordic Region recently. This expansion continues to have high focus of the group and will happen in close alignment with the new Sales Director Nordic Region as well as with local Country Sales managers.

MAIN TASKS

The Sales Director Nordic is responsible and accountable for the following aspects and deliverables:

On regional level:

  1. Define the sales strategy and drive the execution for delivering the sales objectives on short and long term together with all regional country sales managers and the supporting functions.
  2. Identify sales growth opportunities and define the strategy to maximize the opportunity results
  3. Expense and resource planning as well as budget control in line with agreed priority settings
  4. Ownership of sales budgeting and sales forecasting for the region
  5. Drive the project sales in every aspect to tertiary and residential markets (segmentation & priorities, pipeline generation, follow-up, closing, pricing, delivery …) in all regional countries while preserving and optimizing the current transactional sales results in sensors.
  6. Build a performing sale in the Nordic countries
  7. Implement pipeline and sales KPI management across the Nordic countries
  8. People Management: supervise all sales organizations in Nordic region, develop a high-performance culture and develop talents in the different parts of the Nordic sales organization.

Supervise in addition the following roles: Customer & Field Support, Sales Engineers (presales team) and Channel Marketing (Marcom) for the region.

  1. Act as a site manager responsible for all Sales Operations at the Danish office
  2. Facilitate close collaboration with all supporting functions

The incentives and compensation mechanisms for the Sales Director Nordic are:

  • Sales result of the region vs plan
  • Funnel / pipeline Growth
  • Margin realized in country
  • Cost and budget control

Organization and Future Evolutions

The local sales organizations within Nordic Region have a relatively high maturity in Project Sales approach for the products. This role will have a key responsibility to increase the sales, where multiple initiatives to develop sales have started recently

THE CANDIDATE

Experience:

8 – 10 years of experience in a customer facing role in sales and/or sales management within an international context

Experience in the market of electronic products for both business and private use.

Experience in Project Sales and knowledge of what is driving success in Project Sales.

Profound experience in managing sales via KPI management (Pipeline mgt, closing rate, winrate,…)

Familiar with tendering and professional B2B quotation processes

Experience in OEM business models is a big advantage

Competencies:

Customers First attitude and mindset

Able to work in a matrix organization within an international context

Build motivated teams; drive execution via KPI management

Build a sales strategy and execution plans; including building the business case

Very good communication skills, advanced presentation and ‘sales pitch’ skills

High emotional intelligence, can move into customer’s thinking pattern, thinks in function of customer pains and how to address these

LOCATION

The candidate can be based all over in Denmark – Copenhagen, Region Sealand, Region Funen or Region Mid Jutland will preferable.

TRAVEL ACTIVITY

Approx. 80 -100 days a year

EDUCATION

Bachelor or Master in economics, trade, commercial sciences, engineering

Equivalent through experience

LAUNGUAGE

Danish native speaker with fluent in English, which is the international language within the group.
