SALES MANAGER, EUROPE – CLEANTECH

Our customer, FLOWVISlON A/S is a Danish well-established company, founded in 2006, which specialises in the design and delivery of advanced solutions for reducing emissions. With many years of experience in emission technology deliveries and combustion technology, the company’s DeNOx systems are groundbreaking in many different applications and contexts.

Over the years, the company has developed and implemented a large number of plants / installations for international customers. Today, there are more than 70 running plants / installations worldwide. FLOWVISION now faces new large and almost limitless business opportunities, helped by the increasing demands from the authorities in many countries to limit NOx emissions.

FLOWVISION is a dynamic company which is growing strongly and with a flat structure, a short chain of command and a strong will and culture, which is characterised by an internationally ambitious atmosphere. FLOWVISION is on the threshold of facing the implementation of a significant growth strategy, where the goal is to become among the 3 largest players in the market within the next 3 to 5 years. Therefore, a new strong and results-oriented Sales Manager is wanted, who can help the company achieve the planned goals.

The position

As Sales Manager, with reference to the CEO, you, along with the rest of the sales team, must make a significant contribution to FLOWVISION’s upcoming development and growth. FLOWVISION wants to build a strong and long-lasting relationships with the many existing and new customers. In addition, several strategic sales agent agreements will be established.

FLOWVISION’s key customers today are in the chemical, petrochemical industry and the power plant industry in a number of countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. FLOWVION is known for high quality as well as delivery guarantee and After Sales Service. With a new Sales Manager, FLOWVISION wants to expand and strengthen its market position, primarily in Europe, and with an ambitious and targeted sales strategy, FLOWVISION sees great opportunities for significant growth.

The new Sales Manager has to contribute and follow the company’s sales strategy with an overview of market opportunities and prioritised customers / markets based on potential, market segment and order value. In addition, significant decision-makers and potential customers have to be approached in order to improve their knowledge and awareness of FLOWVISION.

As one of the key people in FLOWVISION, the Sales Manager is in charge of his own customer groups and his own budget.

Key tasks:

  • Development and maintenance of customer portfolio in selected markets
  • Develop significant sales pipeline and contribute significantly to strong growth in earnings.
  • Review of tender materials and technical specifications
  • Preparation of offers and price calculations
  • Delivery of projects to the project department
  • Establish and operate an agent network in collaboration with the Sales Director
  • Marketing tasks (trade fair participation, website optimisation, presentation materials, etc.)

You as a candidate:

Professional:

You will have ideally 10+ years of technical and commercial experience with international project sales within AIR control systems. You will have a large subject knowledge within Power plants, chemical, petrochemical  flue gas purification systems.

  • On the basis of your education as an engineer (which can be chemical engineer, process engineer or any other relevant type of engineering education), you can come up with solution proposals for customers.
  • Customers are often large, international groups, and you must independently be able to spar with them at a high technical level.
  • Documented experience with internationally complex project and concept sales.
  • Ability to understand drawings and able to discuss possible solutions with customers.

You are able to keep track of a large, differentiated customer portfolio, and you have experience with the interpretation of technical specifications and commercial “Terms & Conditions”, in tender material. In addition, you must be able to ensure a good project transfer to the project manager after the customer’s contract signing.

As the new Sales Manager, you will have an important role in the organisation. You are driven and motivated by making a difference and when extra effort is required during peak demand you are willing. You are also motivated by effective outreach and in being able to contribute visibly to the growth and development of the company.

You have a commercial mind-set, are persistent, service-minded and you are able, to complete sales successfully. You are a strong communicator who exudes a natural credibility.

In order to create the necessary results, the following is also required:

  • Strong analytical skills and operating in a structured manner
  • An outgoing personality and good at creating strong and close relationships
  • Enthusiastic, with the courage and initiative to lead and create results.
  • Good collaboration skills both internally and externally
  • You are solution-oriented, and you are driven by great challenges and wish to push environmental solutions in the right direction
  • You thrive in an international environment, where several cultures work together to achieve common goals

In addition, you have a strong commercial insight, and you have a documented record of good sales results.

Linguistically, you are fluent in English both writing and speaking, other languages skills are a plus. You are proficient with MS Office pack, and it is an advantage if you are familiar with AutoCAD or similar drawing programs.

Other:

The successful candidate will have significant travel activity, 70-90 days per year, mainly in Europe. You are living in Europe. If you are a resident of Denmark, it is expected that you are present at FLOWVISION’s headquarters in Odense on an ongoing basis, and if you are a resident in another European country, you will need to be present at the Danish headquarters at least once a month for a few days at a time. Crucial is that you are able to independently, and in collaboration with colleagues, to create results through your proactive work.
