Sales & Operations Planning Partner for Product Supply

Join us and become Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Partner for a Business area within Product Supply (PS).

About the department
You will be part of the Sales & Operations Planning department in Supply Chain Planning, a central organisation responsible for a range of activities within S&OP, tactical planning, regulatory flexibility and market support. You will join highly skilled colleagues in the Sales & Operations Planning Process Execution team. The team is responsible for execution of the monthly S&OP process, volume budgeting, and a number of other activities related to tactical planning and balancing our supplies with the global demand of all Novo Nordisk (NN) products. In all we do, we strive to enable a strong and stable supply and high performance in the supply chain.

The position
As S&OP Partner for a Business area, your main responsibility will be to balance supply and demand across the global supply network of sites across the world. You will work closely together with the demand manager located in our Global Marketing organisation, getting insights in the markets we supply and through that drive the analysis and the work on potential unbalances with and towards the area/production sites. All of this calls for analysing data related to supply and demand, collaborating with stakeholders in identifying recommendations and actions to ensure supply and demand balance and presenting these for management decision making.

Further, you will be responsible for executing a number of activities related to Sales & Operations Planning and the Supply Network Planning processes and for the volume budgeting process.

Finally, through involvement in projects and other improvement activities, you will also engage in optimising and align processes and tools related to executing the S&OP process.

You probably have a Master’s degree within a relevant business education (e.g. M.Sc. in Supply Chain Management or engineering) or experience equivalent to that. You probably have some years of experience and are passionate about Supply Chain Management and Sales and Operations Planning and about securing a balance between supply and demand. Experience with ERP systems (SAP APO) and super user in Excel is preferred.

As a person, your analytical skills enable you to focus on key information and see through the complexity within planning across the full NN supply chain. You are able to prioritise your assignments and estimate the consequences and risks in the decisions you make. You are an energetic and flexible person with a positive mind-set, who takes pride in delivering high quality work. You are a team player who also enjoys working independently and, collaborating and engaging with stakeholders in a positive manner is a natural part of the way you work. Lastly, you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are proficient in English both spoken and written.
