Scientific Publications Manager for Global Medical Affairs

If you answered yes, then we welcome you as our new Scientific Publications Manager who will play a vital role in communicating groundbreaking science within diabetes and obesity. 


The position
As our new Scientific Publications Manager, your main responsibilities include managing the strategic global publication plans, collaborating closely with external Health Care Professionals (HCP) and key opinion leaders as well colleagues across the organisation including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Safety, Discovery, Regulatory, Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) and affiliate/regional offices. In this key position you will report to the Director of Scientific Publications, GMA.


The main scope of responsibilities consists of but is not limited to:
• Leading the publication group with key stakeholders and you will be responsible for planning and execution of global publication plans, vendor management and budget.
• Ensuring that ethical and transparent standards and guidelines are adhered to and be an ambassador for good publication practice.
• Exploring new communication channels and formats and be scientifically savvy to facilitate consistent scientific communication with the intended users. 


Above all, to succeed in this role, you need to provide impact and combine your knowledge and experience with outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills. You easily build constructive relationships across multi-disciplinary departments and with key opinion leaders and you are able to manage agencies to deliver to budget and target.

Qualifications
You have good experience in project management along with publication planning and execution. In addition, you are a Datavision user with extensive experience in scientific communication and peer reviewed publishing. Previous therapy experience within diabetes and obesity is of advantage but not a requirement, however, maintaining context with focus on transparency and ethics is a necessary skill. 

From a successful candidate we expect to have:
• A Master’s degree in scientific, business or related area. 
• At least 3-5 years of experience in publication management (medical/science journal publishing) for example with a publisher, medical communication agency or a pharmaceutical company. 
• CMPP certification and prior experience from a similar position as publication professional would be considered as a great advantage.

As a person, you are detail and action oriented with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with multiple timelines. You have excellent publication management and interpersonal skills. It is a requirement that you have high level of fluency in written and spoken English.

The Scientific Publications team is anchored in Global Medical Affairs (GMA), responsible for publishing scientific research across all drug development phases. We are looking for a publication professional to join the Scientific Publications team in the company headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.
