Senior Business Strategy Manager

Responsibilities

The Enterprise Services Business Planning & Strategy team is looking for a talented Unified Pricing & Licensing Specialist. 

In this role, you will be part of the Unified Pricing Support team, a function tasked with strategic sales planning, custom deal creation and pricing & negotiation authority. You will work alongside Microsoft sellers and customers to drive adoption of Microsoft Enterprise Services within EMEA, supporting revenue generation and acting as the pace setter of deal velocity. You will be measured on sales goals as well as execution metrics that ensure on-time and quality deals. The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales and negotiation professional, unafraid of conflict. He or she should bring an entrepreneurial attitude and be excited to accelerate new services business models.

Candidates must also be structured thinkers able to identify trends, risks and opportunities, driving outcomes that balance strong financial results with improved customer outcomes. He or she will demonstrate a positive attitude and a passion for working with customers and partners. Candidates must be comfortable speaking at all organizations level of the customer organization and be able to simply explain complex solutions. Familiarity with Microsoft’s volume licensing (VL) business is a plus. The role joins a diverse and experienced team already executing successfully against objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic planning & consultation on support deals
  • Drive account planning coordination for multi-seller accounts based on licensing position
  • Help sellers create base + add-on proposals based on customers’ licensing positions
  • Help sellers validate and modify their customers’ profiled licensing positions
  • Support custom deal creation and negotiation for top accounts
  • Escalation and authority for standard empowerment discounting; pricing policy enforcement
  • Work with Licensing Support Specialists and Licensing Executives to ensure strategic proposals align with VL position / sales proposals / deals
  • Orchestrate with various sellers (internally &externally) in order to achieve revenue targets

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of:

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft technology, volume licensing (VL), cloud computing, and support business models
  • Revenue generation and sales achievement
  • Attention to detail, self-discipline and self-motivation
  • Successful negotiation
  • Intellect, coupled with problem solving, judgment, decision making and strategic capabilities Highly developed analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in technology marketing, strategy and business consulting
  • Experience in Software / Cloud Services industry preferred
  • Relevant experience of sales and negotiation experience is desirable
  • BS/BA required; MBA strongly preferred or equivalent industry experience
