Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and focus massively on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. Because of an increased demand for our innovative and intelligent solutions worldwide, we are looking for a Commercial Key Account Manager to become a part of our Water Division.

With direct reference to our Senior Vice President, Water, and as a part of the management team you will join our Water Division, which is focused on delivering high quality solutions and services that creates data transparency and reduce water loss. In the newly establish position as Commercial Key Account Manager you will get the opportunity to contribute to the ambitious global growth of Kamstrup’s water business together with the rest of the organization.

Kamstrup has a headquarter in Stilling, Denmark, but you can work out of any of Kamstrup’s offices within Europe.

Commercial Key Account Manager with focus on developing and managing key accounts
As our new Commercial Key Account Manager you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of our largest and most complex customer accounts. You will therefore be responsible for acquiring, developing and managing our group-level key accounts and building professional relationship at all levels. It is therefore important that you thrive on developing long term business results in close collaboration the customer and internal stakeholders.

More specifically your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Acquisition of new accounts in line with the water business strategy
  • Work closely with Technical Key Account Management to create customer specific solutions
  • Lead the negotiation of contracts with our customers and internal stakeholders
  • Professional customer relationship management from lead generation through project support to account development activities
  • Develop ambitious business plans and account strategies
  • Present account development plans for internal stakeholders to ensure leverage from product and service development
  • Proactively drive customer activities to develop relationships and new business opportunities
  • Ensure excellent customer service in collaboration with internal functions and local sales resources

You can expect 80-100 travel days per year.

Personality matters
You hold a Master’s degree in business and have at least 10 years’ professional experience working with B2B sales development in the water industry. You have successfully demonstrated results from a similar position in the industry and master business value creation on the basis of your strong experience.

More specific, it is a requirement that you:

  • Possess a wide personal network within the water industry and knows the largest customers within
  • Have experience from working in an international company and handling customer projects cross cultural settings
  • Have strong experience with making and executing business plans and account strategies
  • Have demonstrated strong commercial results in similar roles

As a person you are outgoing and able to build strong relationship at all levels. You have strong commercial as well as negotiation skills and the ability to maneuver in complex organizations. You are driven by creating results and process the patience to creating long term results. You are a strong communicator and a world class presenter, and at the same time you have the ability to engage and build trust at all levels.

You are fluent in English both written and oral.
