Senior Financial Analyst for green energy investment analysis

Would you like to take up the exciting challenge of assessing investment opportunities within green energy?  

Join us and become Senior Financial Analyst in our Valuation team. The team supports the business unit Bioenergy & Thermal Power in assessing investment opportunities within thermal power, waste-to-energy, energy storage and solar PV. Together with your team, you’ll play an active role during a project’s maturation and subsequent final investment decision by providing financial and commercial assessments of the investment proposals, which are presented to executive management and the Board of Directors. You’ll support the business in both investments, reinvestments and M&A projects and run the projects from a financial standpoint as a partner to the business and play a key role in the process.  

Your key tasks will be to  

  • perform valuations and investment optimisations of your own portfolio of projects 
  • provide advice for projects on structuring and optimal financial solutions  
  • ensure high-quality deliverables on time  
  • develop, maintain and operate business cases and valuation models  
  • contribute to and participate in cross-functional and corporate development projects. 

 Furthermore, you’re a subject matter expert and trusted partner who’ll be partly responsible for the use of financial concepts and valuation principles within the team.  

Your competences include that you  

  • hold a master’s degree in finance, economics or similar, e.g. corresponding to the Danish degrees cand.merc.fir., cand.merc.aef., cand.merc.fsm. cand.oecon. or cand.polit, with top-tier performance  
  • have a couple of years’ experience from an equivalent position in a large company, a consultancy company or from investment banking where you’ve performed valuations, financial analyses, structuring and managed complex processes 
  • are proficient in and willing to work with discounted cash flow valuation, risk modelling and impact on accounts  
  • have a basic understanding of market drivers, regulatory regimes and accounting standards – or are willing to learn  
  • are acquainted with complex Excel modelling and speak and write English fluently. 

 As a person, you have strong communication skills, enabling you to present your results professionally to your business partners. You work systematically, show responsibility and can deliver high-quality solutions. In addition, you have a results-oriented and value-adding approach to your work and a flair for working with complicated analytical challenges. Moreover, you’re able to create results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders.
