Senior Financial Controller in Finance HUB EMEA

Do you want to be part of LEO Pharma’s international Finance- and Controlling team?

During the last couple of years LEO Pharma has implemented several new ways of working in Finance: SAP has been implemented globally and we have outsourced the majority of the transactional finance processes to a Business Process Outsourcing provider (BPO). However, there are still several exiting projects ahead, as we need to design the best possible financial model to make us robust and ready for the future years strategic expansions, global process improvements and continued optimized way of working in Finance, so we have the right processes in place and can be used as a true value adding partner in the organization. We are a strong financial service provider to our internal and external stakeholders, and deliver timely, accurate and compliant data at all times.

The Finance Hub EMEA will work intensively with a new finance strategy, Business Process Management model and a roll out of SAP S4/Hana over the future years. We also need to keep challenging status quo – and drive changes where it will be to the benefit of LEO Pharma as well as necessary to stay compliant.

Controlling, projects, analysis, development, support, reporting…

You will assume the role as a Senior Financial Controller for specific affiliates under the Finance Hub EMEA where your focus will be on financial controlling and compliance tasks to ensure proper monthly financial reporting and follow-up founded in local business understanding, while at the same time considering how we can do things in the most efficient way. Amongst others your tasks will include:

  • Financial controlling and support
  • Review of reconciliations and preparation of comments for monthly reporting
  • Planning and managing the annual statutory financial reporting process
  • Communication with auditors as well as collection of documentation for the audit
  • Controlling VAT & income tax reporting and other reports to authorities
  • SME for various financial related projects and initiatives

You will be greatly involved in the above-mentioned development of the Finance function throughout LEO Pharma, which means you will need to grow a substantial network within the organization to identify stakeholders for the various deliveries. Therefore, it is vital that you have profound experience working with complex finance organizations, ideally from a big audit/consultancy firm or an internationally founded company where you have obtained your competences.

Limited travel activity within Europe is expected in this position.


We imagine that you have;

  • A finance degree, e.g. cand.merc.aud. or other relevant master studies, and several years solid accounting or financial project controlling experience from a large international company, preferably top tier audit or consultancy house.
  • A real passion for statutory and management accounting and controlling
  • Deep IFRS knowledge and documented experience of reporting in IFRS
  • Great sense of responsibility and collaboration in international environments
  • Solid analytical, execution and communication skills in English and preferably another language as well.


We expect that you have the business acumen to be able to assess the impact of our finance initiatives across the organization. You must be ambitious and possess a strong drive when taking on new projects and tasks. You have excellent stakeholder management skills as your success depend on collaboration with other parts of the organization.

You will be a part of the production affiliates team which consists of +10 dedicated colleagues working within the Finance Hub EMEA with more than +25 good and committed colleagues throughout the EMEA region.
