Senior Health Scientist - Carlsberg Research Laboratory

Carlsberg Research Laboratory is seeking for a Health scientist to strengthen its New Ingredients Research team. The successful applicant will be in charge of research projects dedicated to new ingredient evaluation for health and nutrition beverages, working in an international and innovative environment, with highly dedicated colleagues. The applicant will also have a role as nutritionist expert and represent Carlsberg interests in health committees. 

Qualification: PhD in biological science: medicine, health, pharmacology or nutrition

A previous post doc experience is preferred.

Primary Technical Skills:

  • Expertise, communication and laboratory
    • Specific scientific knowledge (medicine, pharmacology, health or nutrition)
    • Communication skills in a complex environment (internal and external stakeholders)
    • Laboratory knowledge (position is partly laboratory work based)

Secondary Technical Skills:

  • Experience in Health, alcohol or nutrition topics in industry
  • Knowledge in health related ingredients (eg botanicals)
  • Microsoft office package

Desirable Additional Skills:

  • Candidates should have excellent written and oral English communication skills and good team working abilities as well as being confident independent workers.
  • Capacity to translate scientific knowledge to non-scientists customers is relevant.
  • Candidates should show flexibility in work and willingness to expand into projects beyond immediate expertise, as well as spirit of innovation.
  • Real interest in food production, particularly in the beverage domain is mandatory.
  • Previous experience of research and development project, experience of working in an industrial laboratory, as well as experience in scaling up would be advantageous
