Do you thrive when working with complex IT systems, and do you have a deep technical understanding? If you can say yes to these questions you should consider this opportunity.

We digitalize Denmark. That is our passion. Is it yours too?
KMD is one of Scandinavia’s largest companies within digital technology and digitalization. We have more than 1400 Danish and international customers in the public and private sector. Our purpose is to deliver the benefits of technology to help our customers succeed making a difference in society, business and in everyday life. We know that it is our employees who make the whole difference - their diligent work, their curiosity and their ability to think big and work as a team.

Role description
You will be part of a small team that work closely together with relevant stakeholders from the client in order to fulfill the delivery of this project. We maintain a high professional standard and good technical understanding, and we are proud to deliver high-quality solutions. Right now, we need a skilled colleague who is passionate about creating effective solutions in close collaboration with customers.

Your physical workplace will vary as you will be in our client’s office in central Copenhagen most days, but you will also spend some of your time in our headquarters in Ballerup. We try to provide you with challenging and interesting tasks at work and at the same time secure a good balance between work and private life.

Your primary responsibilities in this position will be to translate functional requirements into specific technical solutions that provide changes in application functionality. You will work with continued development and maintenance of existing solutions and contribute towards improving the quality of the solutions and the tools that support development work. You will also participate in the specification and estimation of tasks.

Besides the small group you will work with on a daily basis, you will join a team of more than 35 dedicated and experienced Java Developers who handle a wide range of management and development tasks for both private- and public sector clients.

About you
We expect that you have a relevant higher education such as IT engineer, Computer Scientist, or Computer Specialist. You are an experienced Java developer who has previously worked with the Capital Market Platform Calypso or you are ready to learn it.

You probably have experience using at least a few of the following technologies:

  • JBoss AS
  • Oracle
  • Gradle
  • Maven
  • Git
  • Mercurial

Knowledge or experience with financial or statistics systems is an advantage

As a person, you are known as:

  • A team player who can cooperate positively and constructively
  • Adaptable, as your daily work will sometimes be unpredictable, and the tasks may change
  • Service minded and passionate about performing at your best
  • Quality-conscious and tenacious, with great drive that is contagious to those around you
  • Good at keeping a cool head in stressful situations, even when faced with complex problems.

KMD as a workplace
In KMD, we believe that good communication is key. Our pragmatic leaders believe in flat structures and they trust their employees to do their jobs as they see it best. Because our work matters.

Every day, we work hard to develop or implement innovative solutions that make a difference for Danish citizens. We constantly learn from our customers and each other.

We know that what we do makes a difference in society, and we keep our customers in focus as we strive to deliver meaningful and effectful work. Our freedom enables us to deliver efficiently, and we explore and exploit the opportunities that arise. As KMD is a large and diverse organization, we can exploit a great variety of growth opportunities and technologies.

Since 2018, KMD has been owned by the Japanese NEC Corporation. KMD A/S has a yearly revenue of approximately five billion DKK and 3200 employees across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Poland. Among KMD’s subsidiaries are BanqSoft, Edlund and Charlie Tango.
