About the role and expectation

  • The primary responsibility of the Senior Planner is to provide the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Project Planning team with the expertise to deliver the project in the most effective manner and with solid scheduling updates and KPIs status.
  • At the Pre-Construction Stage the Senior Planner shall support the key stakeholders with the development of an acceptable delivery strategy to execute a project in an effective manner through the review of project scope and objectives. 
  • At the Execution Stage the Senior Planner shall 1) Review or define activities, durations, resources and relationship logic to implement the project delivery strategy, and 2) Monitor, update, and communicate the schedule to reflect current status and the impact of project changes and variations.
  • The Senior Planner shall have an engineering and construction background and heavy infrastructure projects experience, with the ability to work with strict deadlines and willing to learn and develop a career in the Planning, Scheduling and Project Control field.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update as appropriate the contractual baseline programme (P6 Primavera)
  • Prepare the detailed procurement plan required for baseline submission
  • Prepare, update, monitor the Management Services
  • Implement the newly harmonized Activity ID coding in P6
  • Implement activity codes definition for grouping, filtering and exporting data to other systems
  • Define and develop the payment milestones catalog and implement in the payment milestones programme. 
  • Define the resource catalog and implement it in Primavera P6
  • Time Location and 4D Planning implementation support
  • Perform monthly progress update from KAIROS and TIPS, into Primavera P6, and compile schedule variation analysis
  • Support with any Change Management / Time Impact analysis.
  • Develop and Implement Lean and Last Planner System meetings and procedures
  • S-Curves preparation on different KPIs/ status reports of schedule development
  • Raise any early warnings with respect to time mismatch between works and packages. Prepare mitigation proposals with respect to time.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • A degree in Science, Construction or Engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Competent user of Primavera P6, as well as good IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and Project
  • Competency in Linear Planning (Time Location tools), 4D Construction Planning, BIM and Project Control is a must. Competency with Lean Construction approach and Last Planner System implementation.
  • Knowledge and practical application FIDIC or NEC form of contracts.
  • Employee development and performance management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community
  • Advanced oral, text, graphics, visuals, formal and informal communication skills
  • Advanced analytical, evaluative and objective critical thinking skills
  • Ability to summarize data, draw conclusions and inferences, and prepare reports and/or presentations
  • Ability to define and integrate issues, identify problems and synthesize solution elements into a cohesive action plan
  • Ability to manage staff planners as they plan, develop, organize, document, and facilitate meetings, retreats, workshops and public forums.
  • Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects with skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities

Conditions of employment

The Danish Salaried Employees Act (Funktionærloven), pension, health insurance and lunch arrangement.

Place of work: Copenhagen and ad hoc missions to project site Rødby.

Position is available 31.st of January 2021.
