Senior Procurement Consultant

Commercial lead on global projects in the renewable industry

K2 Management is a global, independent and leading consultancy within the renewable industry. To support the continuous growth in demand for our services and to strengthen our tender and contract management, we are currently looking for a Senior Procurement Consultant with a passion for working with renewable technologies.

You will report directly to our Director, Procurement & Supply Chain, and the position will preferably be based in one of our premises in Denmark (Viby J/Copenhagen), UK (Glasgow/Bristol) or Germany (Hamburg).

As Senior Procurement Consultant you will be responsible for the commercial part of our clients’ projects, from early development phase to completion of the project, and you will play a key role in the tender phase. In addition, your area of responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering procurement advice to clients, including but not limited to development of business cases, procurement strategy, evaluation criteria, tender documentation.
  • Delivering technical work associated with project delivery, including but not limited to development of service specifications, method statements, pricing schedules and evaluation of bids.
  • Leading the negotiations and acting as the single point of contact on behalf of clients.
  • Report writing and presentation of results and recommendations.
  • Developing bids for new projects and actively undertaking business development to further grow the procurement work stream.
  • Ensuring timely input is received from project staff, and liaison with Project Director and Project Board on strategic project issues.
  • Managing and reporting on deadlines/deliverables.

Strong communicator with commercial experience
You have excellent stakeholder management skills and know how to network and communicate at all levels and with different cultures. You achieve great results through strong partnerships and an open mindset, always aiming at delivering high quality and stretched flexibility. A structured, analytical, and persistent approach characterizes your work style and ensures that you retain a good overview in negotiations and projects. In addition, you have:

  • Financial and/or engineering background combined with 5+ years of international experience from a similar position in the renewable industry
  • Experience with procurement or category management, contracting and negotiations
  • Strong commercial mindset
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbally and in writing
