Senior Project Manager

Vestas Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future.


Plant & Hybrid Solutions is a function in Vestas Power Solutions (R&D) and delivers new power plant product variants by initiating project execution across the value chain to ensure delivery of products on time to market, without compromising quality and product costs. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvements, we continuously develop our products and technologies to reduce the cost of energy to ensure the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas.


In SCADA & Communication Infrastructure, we develop the IT infrastructure solutions for Vestas Power plants. The work is primarily revolving R&D of new solutions to meet tomorrow’s demands within data collection, power plant control and cyber security. Project Release Management is part of a module that includes the Vestas SCADA solution. The department consists of experienced Hardware, Network and Cyber Security specialists, and Framework & Applications software developers, who all live the Vestas values: Accountability, Collaboration, Simplicity and Passion, which form the backbone for our culture, striving to deliver world-class solutions.
 

Responsibilities
You will be the main accountable person for all projects within the module. Projects can vary in size and type. Responsibilities include:

  • Create, maintain and coordinate project execution balancing scope, budgets, resources and timelines according to Vestas processes
  • Identify, document, escalate & mitigate risks
  • Align and balance requirements for the product, production, installation, and service requirements 
  • Ensure continuous communication and update to all stakeholders using the agreed processes & tools
  • Evaluate all lessons learned, both during project gates and after milestones and delivery
  • Identify and utilise the correct technologies and guides ensuring that Vestas quality standards are met
  • Ensure & foster collaboration with the Program Management group 

Qualifications

  • Extended experience with project management and preferred certifications within project management: PRINCE2, PMP etc. 
  • Experience with project management within software development 
  • Experience with scaled agile or other agile methods
  • Experience with stakeholder management in a global context 
  • Experience with a global matrix organisation is desirable
  • Solid value chain understanding
