The role

We are looking for a talented and self-driven Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing R&D team here at GAN. In this role you will be working closely with our developers in envisioning, designing and testing new features for the GAN platform. You will be the owner of the QA automation setup, leading the way for the engineering team when it comes to test automation.

Working agile, we rely on continuous deployment and automation of as many tasks and processes as possible. In this role we want you to extend and further develop GAN’s setup for automated test and quality assurance.

The role requires an analytical mind, experience and deep knowledge about test automation and how to successfully build and run a continuous delivery and integration pipeline. You see the huge value of automation and know how to implement the pipelines to support it.

You have a solid proven record in test automation, building pipelines that cater to different parts of the development and deployment processes and additionally experience with non-functional testing. Finally you must possess the ability to formulate and take tactical test initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Manage automated quality assurance of our entire platform
  • Design, build and manage a test automation framework from scratch (using Selenium, Unit tests, MochaJS, Jasmine, Sauce Labs, etc.)
  • Implement and develop test automation processes and best practices to always ensure compliant, stable, and reliable software
  • Work closely with engineers, designers and product managers to validate feature work and reported issues
  • Create and support test dashboards
  • Make sure that every deployment goes out on time always, meeting our high standards of quality

 

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years experience with QA and engineering
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools, techniques and standards (You will be calling the shots, so we’re happy to revise and introduce better tools and platforms)
  • Practical experience from building a test automation framework from scratch is a big plus
  • An advocate for the Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) process
  • Good working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases

The Quantum Optomechanics group at the Niels Bohr Institute has pioneered a new approach to engineer mechanical sensors of unprecedented coherence. We now seek support to push the development of a new generation of sensors for quantum optomechanical measurements, coupling of mechanical resonators to nuclear spins, subnanometer magnetic resonance imaging, and mass density measurements of individual molecules. This work is carried out in collaboration with experts at ETH Zurich in the field of force microscopy and magnetic quantum sensing. The postdoc will develop and implement new concepts for force sensors and transducers, drawing on phononic engineering, parametric transduction and quantum feedback techniques. The successful candidate will have a strong PhD in experimental physics or relevant engineering disciplines, and extensive experience in finite-element modeling (preferably MEMS, nanomechanics) and nanofabrication techniques including electron beam lithography. Experience with microwave and or optical interferometry, photonic and or phononic crystals, and basic quantum measurement theory complete the profile of the ideal candidate. About the department The Big Data and Analytics team is an international, high performing team with a variety of technical and analytical backgrounds. About the department

The Big Data and Analytics team is an international, high performing team with a variety of technical and analytical backgrounds. The responsibilities of Big Data and Analytics ranges from data acquisition/ingestion, data analysis, and data engineering, to evangelizing the opportunity to apply data and advanced analytics, initiating analytical initiatives and supporting data science users of our platform. We have built and are operating the data lake and data science platform OASIS on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support our mission; and we are continuously developing and extend the OASIS. The overarching goal is to use data to gain new understandings and insights, and to ensure we deliver value to our stakeholders and the business. 

We are currently 10 internal and external employees in 3 different locations in India, USA and Denmark with various titles such as IT Architect, System Analyst and Advanced Data Engineer. We are planning to expand our offerings to the global organization, particularly in the data engineering space, why we need an extra resource to succeed with our journey and ambitious vision. 

The department is four years old and anchored within Digital Incubator & Innovation. It is part of the Global IT organization, consisting of approx. 1000 employees globally.

 

The position

As an Advanced Data Engineer, you will act as trusted advisor to provide technical expertise and guidance for all the components that makes up the OASIS data lake and data science eco-system. OASIS consists of a data lake part for data acquisition/ ingestion, transformation and storage build on various Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EMR, S3, Redshift, Lambda and other AWS offerings. You will also provide technical guidance regarding the architecture of the data science/ML/AI parts build around R, Python, EMR, SAS, SageMaker and other data science tools. 

To succeed in this position, you should have technical experience and a sincere interest in exploring new technologies. In addition to this you are expected to understand the technologies involved in the components that makes up the data lake, data science, ML and AI solutions, and you know how these are integrated. 

In the role as Advanced Data Engineer, you will also act as trusted technical advisor on one or more projects within Big Data and Analytics for our Business Partners as well as your colleagues in the team. In collaboration with the IT Architects in Big Data and Analytics and 3rd party suppliers, you will be directly responsible for leading and defining the end-to-end architecture of solutions build on OASIS, and you will be involved in the maturation of the OASIS platform.
