Senior Software Developer

Are you motivated by working with cutting edge software technologies? Do you have a passion for engineering fields of process automation and control? Then you may be one of our future developers joining FLSmidth’s Process Control and Optimization R&D department in Valby, Copenhagen. We are working intensively on developing our software products for the future with particular focus on making them ready for Industry 4.0. Our department develops advanced software for process monitoring, control and optimization solutions for the cement and minerals industry worldwide. As our new colleague you will contribute to an innovative environment where our objective is to develop a value added and competitive suite of software products to benefit our customers around the world.


Detailed Description

Take our suite of successful software products into the future

In close cooperation with your colleagues, you will develop advanced software applications which build on leading edge technologies. You will be involved in all phases – including analyses, design, programming, final testing and customer response incorporation:

·   You will play a key role in communicating to our internal stakeholders to identify and understand requirements

·   You will interact with external technology cooperation partners

·   You will transfer the understanding to an efficient design in cooperation with other software developers, and implement the solution based on Agile planning framework

·   As a part of your team, you will also join the test process of the software, all the way from unit testing to live operation on site

·   You will work in an international environment with highly motivated and dedicated colleagues in a job that you will have the opportunity to influence greatly


Job Requirements

Team player and solid experience in Microsoft .NET technologies

You have an engineering or software development background, combined with 5-10 years of experience in one or more of the following technologies:

·   Microsoft .NET technologies, mainly using C#

·   Microsoft design patterns

·   SQL

·   Data analytics

·   Azure or similar cloud platform

·   PLC knowledge


On the personal level, you are known for your solution-oriented approach to your tasks, and you thrive on being part of a team, as well going across teams where you can unfold your innovative

ideas. Last but not least, you must have solid communication skills and a high level of English proficiency.
