Software Product Owner for Platform development

Would you like to participate in developing the future technologies within software for Grundfos' products?

Then join the SW Platform & Architecture department in Bjerringbro. We are responsible for developing platform based embedded software from low level hardware drivers to application layer features for our complete product portfolio. You will be part of a department consisting of SW Product Owners, SW architechs, SCRUM Masters and software developers where you will report to Manager, Erik Adam Schulz Laursen:

What is the job about?
Your key tasks will be to specify and prioritize our platform backlog so it is prepared for our SCRUM teams. To do this you will have a close cooperation with our other SW Product Owners, Software Architects and the SCRUM teams.

You main tasks will be:

  • Ensuring that the Platform Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Teams will work on next
  • Creating, specifying and maintaining backlog items, requirements and feature models in cooperation with peer SW Product owners and architects
  • Be available for development teams to clarify and discuss ambiguities
  • Ordering the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions
  • Optimizing the value of the work the Development Teams performs
  • Ensuring the Development Teams understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.

It is an advantage if you have solid understanding of development of embedded systems and a plus if you have application knowledge from HVAC systems or water systems. You collaborate with colleagues in both Denmark, India and China.

What do you need to apply?
What we are looking for in you is your ability to transform business and technology needs into an executable backlog combined with some project management experience. Any understanding of the products we deliver is highly beneficial, and you probably hold a relevant master’s degree. Also, you have excellent communication and facilitation skills, enabling you to work with software professionals on technical projects.
