Software Project Manager

The responsibilities of the Software Project Manager include overseeing the overall system functionality and performance of our projects, by ensuring that the controls and WMS systems are implemented in a way to fulfil the contractual obligations.

You will support the project managers to minimize project realization risk and to execute project within the defined budget, and also in regard to all integration tasks of the overall material handling system.

We can guarantee a diverse working day with many challenging tasks and often with short deadlines – primarily your responsibility will be the following:

  • Plan and coordinate the Integration Phase
  • Review and approve all functional and test specifications
  • Manage interface and integration tests
  • Establish the commissioning and test schedule and procedure
  • Prepare risk analysis
  • Prepare procedures for system Integration tests e.g. PAC, FAC
  • Coordinate and execute all system Integration tests e.g. PAC, FAC
  • Execute subcontract / suppliers’ acceptance tests
  • This job includes travelling, and around 60 travel days per year must be anticipated.

    About you

  • Diploma Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Controls / Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience from a similar role, preferably from the logistics business area
  • Furthermore, you possess the following qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in spoken & written English
  • Self-motivated and decisive with the ability to adapt to changes and competing demands
  • Systematic approach to troubleshooting
  • Ability to see cross connections between various aspects of a complex (project) set-up
  • To be successful as a SPM, you should have a good working knowledge of project estimation techniques and the ability to motivate team members. Ultimately, a top-notch Software Project Manager should have good communication and decision-making skills.
