We are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager who will be part of the global Project Logistics Vertical team.

WE OFFER

A very interesting role in the Project Logistics Vertical team which is part of the Sales & Marketing function. The team is responsible for defining, developing and delivering the value proposition for customers in the Project Logistics and Heavylift market.

The backbone of the value proposition is transportation through the use of specialized containers that enable our customers to move their large and/or heavy cargo in a very efficient way.

This is a small but important part of the overall Maersk business and because of the nature of the technology infrastructure the team is involved in all processes, ranging from lead generation over quoting & booking as well as the operational execution and finance processes.

This is a dynamic environment and no two days are the same, the position offers a chance to get involved in solving a broad range of challenges and shape the future value proposition to an exciting and profitable market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for continuous improvement of the value proposition and processes, closely collaborating with stakeholders with the objective of delivering the best possible customer experience.

These responsibilities are centered around 4 pillars:

1)Ensuring that the right data and insights are available to set the commercial strategy of the vertical. This includes understanding the main financial systems from where data can be sourced, specifically which data to extract from where and how to interpret this data.

2)Working with the back-office team (part of the Global Service Centre) to ensure the quoting and booking processes deliver the best possible customer experience. This also includes coordination with the operations teams to ensure that we have the right processes in place for the successful transport of the cargo

3)Work with Product Teams in HQ and Regions as well as Sales and Customer Experience teams in Areas to ensure we have a common approach to process improvement, product development and resolution of problems.

4)Cooperate with Sales Operations and other related functions to build a roadmap for sales processes for the vertical, including pipeline management in Salesforce.com and Sales Incentives. The objective of this work is to develop towards standardized sales processes that are harmonized relative to the overall sales process landscape and with no or limited exceptions for Special Cargo.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate for the role will be a highly structured individual who is passionate about making order out of chaos and driving standardization. The role demands the ability to balance a good commercial understanding with the need to ensure there are standard and efficient processes in place.

Project Management and communication are essential skills, as is being able to work successfully through others by mobilizing and engaging a diverse group of stakeholders towards a common goal.

An analytical mindset and the ability to make sense of large datasets, as well as the ability to condense this into clear and actionable insights is critical for success in the role. This includes possessing advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Special Cargo, Project Logistics or Heavylift experience is a plus but not a requirement.
