Vestas Power Solutions is an independent business unit within Vestas Wind Systems A/S responsible for product design including full profit and loss accountability for our products. Through innovation, development, and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers. The Hub module, as a part of the Vestas Power Solutions, is responsible for delivering competitive hub units into the wind turbines of the future. Within the Hub module, the Hub module Technical management team is responsible for framing the submodule work, i.e. developing module scope, module roadmaps, market, and product requirement brake down into submodules.

As a member of the technical management team you will be main responsible documenting and maintaining module requirements, interfaces, and design risk assessment structure for the HUB, supported by the designers within the HUB area.

  • You will drive system engineering understanding across the HUB module, hereunder lead requirements breakdown from product to components in the full value chain
  • You will implement best practice DFMEA work across submodule and be the go-to person
  • You will take responsibility for the HUB module process, guidelines, and tools roadmap, and drive selected roadmap projects

  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics engineering or similar from an accredited university
  • You have a good understanding of the methodology of systems engineering (preferable a certified professional), and you have applied the methods in your previous work.
  • You have proven experience in working with mechanical and or electrical components and systems (7+ years of experience)
  • You are certified Six Sigma engineer
  • It is desirable if you have proven experience with: Understanding the full value chain of wind turbine modules and components Working in large organisations

  • You are self-driven and can work independently
  • You have a strong quality mindset
  • You like teaching and coaching your colleagues
  • You like complex problems and seek for the simplest solution
  • You have high degree of personal planning and project planning
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken

  • Apis IQ (proficient) Experience
  • Visure (req. Management) Experience

  • Desirable:

  • Matlab
  • Python
  • Windshill
  • SAP
  • Creo view
  • Technical understanding of a Wind Turbine designs
  • Knowledge of Wind Industry Standards

    Additional information
    Your work location will be in Aarhus, Denmark. Some travel activities will be accepted and will be around 15 days/year.
