Summary of Responsibilities:

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to become part of a growing engineering team focused on creating world class DECT telecommunication systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new embedded and application software for enterprise-class DECT communication products. The position will also involve support and improvement of existing software products.

The position involves cross functional interaction with Test Engineering, Product Management, Software Quality Assurance, Global Services, and occasionally Sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • new product development, from defining system architecture, through design and coding of features, platforms, prototypes on preliminary and final products;
  • must be able to work well in teams, as well as individual assignments;
  • support existing and legacy products when issues are escalated from Operations or Customer Support;
  • troubleshooting complex system level defects and implementing efficient fixes;
  • developing and troubleshooting SIP based applications
  • working in both a scrum and iterative design methods, helping the team to continuously improve

In the team, we are focused on building software for the utility sector to enable our clients to reduce the waste of energy and water globally. The software is designed cloud native on Azure, based on a microservice architecture.

You will be a member of a cross-functional development department consisting of 25 people divided in 3 squads. Part of the department is placed in Malaga. Together we strive to do highly agile development and have an experimental approach to how we work. We share knowledge and strive to learn through experimentation.

DevOps Engineer with focus on continuous delivery

In the newly establish position as DevOps Engineer your goal is to ensure that deploying and monitoring is a natural part of the daily operations in our Analytics team. You will be responsible for creating tools to ensure meaningful monitoring and automation to ensure system performance and enabling autonomy in the 3 engineering teams. You will have a central role in helping each team, setting the direction for how to do continuous deployment into Azure with a focus on automation, security and zero downtime.

Besides that, your task will also be to measure and monitor system performance and how azure resources are utilized with focus on the cost development.

We expect that you have experience with some of these tools:

• Azure Resource Manager
• Azure (Application Insights, Cosmos DB, Functions, Event Hubs, Databricks)
• Service fabric
• Jenkins
• Atlassian Stack
• Octopus deploy
• Sonarqube

Personality matters
You are a structured person who also seeks to constantly develop new ways of getting the job done. You get your energy form inspiring your colleagues on how to test most effective in the speed vs quality race. You are performing in environments where time is limited, and the next release is just around the corner.

Additionally, it is a requirement that you:

• have a background in computer science
• have experience with the Azure platform and .NET programming
• have a few years’ experience with the DevOps role
• have passions for agile software development
