Store Manager

Job Description

As Store Manager, you're responsible for meeting the sales and profitability targets. You work strategically and seek continuous improvement in how to streamline operations to provide a fantastic customer experience in your store. 

You ensure that your team is well-trained and service-oriented, and you work actively with succession planning and talent development. You work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues. You act in line with our Values and Leadership Expectations. You contribute to our business success by being results driven, business minded and a team player; a role model for H&M. 

Some of your key responsibilities

  • You analyze and follow up sales KPIs for your store daily and take actions to maximize the results. 
  • Together with the store Management Team, you ensure optimized scheduling covering all necessary areas and functions in store to support the sales KPIs. 
  • Responsible for prioritizing and taking actions that have a clear effect on sales in your store in agreement with your Area Team. 
  • Giving feedback to the Area Team regarding the store allocations to secure a good garment level to support the selling. 
  • You ensure that H & M's requirements for direct and indirect customer service are met in your store. 
  • You ensure that the maintenance of your store is handled in a cost-effective manner, in accordance with H & M's requirements and take appropriate actions. 
  • Oversee and manage recruitment, training, development and succession planning for your Store. You are also responsible for ensuring the quality of the introduction of new employees.  
  • Evaluate and manage the performance of Store team members; execute dialogues, development plans, feedback and follow-ups and take actions to improve performance and develop your team accordingly 
  • In your role as store manager, you have the overall work environment responsibility in the store, you ensure that laws and safety measures are complied with in accordance with national laws and H & M's guidelines. You always ensure employee and customer safety.

  • Good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing 
  • Minimum of 2 years retail management or comparable experience. 
  • Fluent in English and Danish (Scandinavian language) both spoken and written
