Strategic Account Manager,  Taconic Bioscience A/S

As our Strategic Account Manager you are the one to lead our sales activities in Denmark bringing our unique solutions to customers. You must be a consultative team player that works closely together with a broad global cross-functional team to grow existing business and assess market potential and develop new business opportunities. You have an understanding for business strategy.

This role requires an individual with excellent people skills to develop relationship with clients and the ability to think strategically and analytically in order to take our business to the next level.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

  • Selling Genetically Engineered Model Design Services, our breeding services and commercial models to our for-profit customers (Pharma, Biotechs, etc.).
  • Planning, development, implementation and follow up of sales and activity plans, key account plans and other sales development activities.
  • Identify, qualify, develop and close new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate technical and process related discussions with Taconic Subject Matter experts.
  • Organize product and scientific presentations and represent Taconic at relevant conferences in your territory in partnership with Taconic Subject Matter experts.
  • Manage and maintain client base.
  • Continuous research to prospect new business, drive business and build relationships.
  • Work with our partners to provide customers with the best possible solutions for their needs/requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting of activities in our CRM including forecasts and call reports.
  • Support marketing activities in collecting and documenting activities of competitors. Participate in development of proposition which allows development, positioning, and production of new sales support material.
  • Other assignments as needed.

To succeed you must have:

  • You can have a Master’s degree within business with a flair for life science, a Master’s degree within biological/medical sciences combined with relevant commercial experience or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level.
  • +3 years of international strategic account management experience with a demonstrated success meeting established target.
  • Extensive experience in negotiating, building strong customer relationships and driving sales.
  • You are a team player with ability and flexibility to connect across functions and regions and to constantly prioritize competing demands on you and the team while navigating uncertainty.
  • Strong emphasis on the ability to listen and to clearly present analyses and technical solutions.
  • Highly self-motivated, detail oriented and dependable with a drive to exceed all performance benchmarks.
  • Excellent in presentation and technical writing as well as solid project management skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communications skills in Danish and English.
  • A genuine positive work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment and in an international setup.

Working at Taconic:

You will be part of a team of 4 motivated international based Strategic Account Managers and refer to Sales Director EU. You will have support from Inside Sales functions and we expect you to partner with other Customer Facing functions like Strategic Program Managers for our Colony Management and Custom Model Generation business.

We offer you a full-time position and expect you to work from home. We have facilities near Køge with almost 100 dedicated colleagues in various positions and you are welcome to work from the office occasionally.

Frequent travel is required for this position. All travel pending internal covid-19 travel guidelines.
