We Offer  

Based in our headquarters in Lyngby, you will be joining the cross-functional Indirect Procurement team. The Indirect Procurement team, part of Category Management, is a newly established team that procures all indirect categories including but not limited to Professional Services, HR services, Facility Management, Travel Management and IT.   

You will be exposed to a global community and communicate with colleagues from all departments and offices and third party suppliers from all over the world. A significant part of the job will be to support the implementation of Indirect Purchasing Process and Compliance, as well as supporting the category strategies.

Key Responsibilities  

As our new student assistant, your tasks will primarily be administrative and will include:  

  • Handling Purchase Requisitions from end users for all indirect purchases  
  • Continuous follow up and clean-up of IFS our ERP system
  • Supporting Procure to Pay process training of end users
  • Supporting overall procurement strategy set by Maersk Drilling Category Management
  • Maintaining and further developing positive performance driven relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Developing knowledge of global supplier base and establish relationships with key suppliers worldwide
  • Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers to ensure availability of items and ensure smooth operation
  • Ensuring compliance to contractual terms and conditions
  • Providing input on supplier performance to the Category Management team based on daily interaction
  • Identifying of potential e-Auction opportunities in cooperation with Category Manager
  • Supporting Invoice process to ensure smooth flow of deliveries and avoid penalty on late payment  

Who we are looking for  O

ur preferred candidate come with a track record of high performance, and must currently be studying for your Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably within Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, have an interest in procurement and at least 1 year left in your education.   Previous work experience through e.g. internships, preferably with a background in Supply Chain Management or Procurement is a benefit, but not required.   

As a person, you are dynamic, ambitious, detail oriented and committed to deliver high quality. You work in a structured and systematic manner. Furthermore, you are eager to learn new skills and do not fear to get confronted with new challenges.   You have good interpersonal skills and problem solving skills, which lead to solutions that are carefully thought through. You are capable of working with tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks.   

It is important that you are a self-starter that take initiatives, work independently and take ownership. You need to be service-minded and driven by the opportunity to provide fast results.   English is our corporate language, therefore a high level of fluency in spoken and written English is required. Danish is not a requirement.   

You are able to work in a global, multicultural and diverse work environment.   We expect you to work 15-20 hours a week, and will naturally be flexible around your studies and exam schedule, with the possibility of additional hours during the holidays.
