Student workers to think, live and breathe Infrastructure as Code

2 student workers to think, live and breathe Infrastructure as Code

We strive to provide fantastic infrastructure solutions to the LEGO Group and we are looking for talented, inspiring, innovative students who are passionate about providing public and private cloud infrastructure as a service to developers.

Who we are and what we do

We are four teams in LEGO Business Technology Hosting located in Billund and Hungary, and it is our responsibility to design, build, deploy and run the entire global IT infrastructure of the LEGO Group, including running own data centers around the globe as well as providing our organization with secure access to all things cloud (primarily Amazon Web Services). Our colleagues in the rest of the IT department in LEGO are building applications (such as BI, web shops and modern supply chain systems) in the cloud in a rapid pace and they need us to be able to deliver whatever infrastructure they need – and fast!

Therefore, we are in the middle of two huge transformations: transitioning into a fully scalable hybrid cloud/on premise setup and transitioning from a traditional backend organization to an agile organization with autonomous teams delivering in sprints. This means that automation of our services is our top priority at the moment.

Your role

We are looking for 2 student workers to drive automation, standardization, optimized capacity management, life cycle management and monitoring of the infrastructure for our cloud services. What you will be working with depends on you background and interest, but it could be:

Building our cloud infrastructure self-service platform, which our colleagues building applications can use to quickly get access to the services they need. This will include working with us and our colleagues to establish their needs as well as scripting the solutions using Python or PowerShell. You will be working with a broad range of automation tools like Terraform and Lambda.

Automation and standardization of accounts and identities

for all of our colleagues using AWS and installing alarms and notifications for accounts.

Automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery to increase quality and speed of applications development by implementing tools for CI/CD and making these available to the IT organization.

Who we are looking for

We don’t expect you to have extensive prior knowledge! We regard this position as an introductory position, where you will get a chance to find out whether a full-time position in LEGO might be a match for you. What we are looking for is someone who:

• Is curious, self-driven and not afraid of questioning the status quo.

• Does not let the fear of making mistakes get in their way, and takes ownership of tasks.

• Gets excited about improving processes through automation.

• Has a keen interest in Infrastructure as Code.

• Is studying a relevant master or professional bachelor’s degree (i.e. software development) and has ½ to 1 year left.

• Is comfortable communicating in English.

Join the global LEGO® Family

In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment. You will join a collaborative environment, where we will do our utmost to help you develop your talent. Here, you will get to solve tasks from day one and quickly grow valuable practical experience in a supportive learning environment. We fully respect that you are dedicated to your studies. Thus, your working hours will be adapted to this and you may also use the LEGO Group as a case for one of your papers.

If you would like to know more about the position, please call Sr. Manager Arne Andersen on +45 2030 8054.

We look very much forward to hearing from you! Please provide us with your application by sending it to Søren Bering Andersen at and remember to attach your cover letter, a copy of your grades and your CV.
