Job Responsibilities

As Sustainability & ESG Integration Lead, you will drive the execution of our ESG strategy and key sustainability projects, working closely with Group Functions, Business Segments, and Regions. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary stakeholders globally, to ensure we are on track to meet our sustainability targets. You will be responsible for overseeing and scaling sustainability and ESG projects across our businesses, reporting to VP, Head of Sustainability & ESG.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Drive implementation of the ESG strategy execution plan
• Provide subject-matter expertise and hands-on support to the ESG teams in Danfoss’ Business Segments
• Drive sustainability integration / initiatives with Group functions
• Point of contact / sustainability subject-matter expert for Business Segments and Regions
• Support ESG training and sustainability integration in sales
• Support sustainable finance initiatives
• Prepare ESG status updates for management and the Group Executive Team
• Drive, oversee, ideate, and coordinate ESG projects across the Danfoss Group and Business Segments

Background & Skills

You have hands-on experience with sustainability and ESG in a corporate or financial sector setting, and have a demonstrated track record of implementing ESG projects in collaboration with interdisciplinary functions (e.g. finance, procurement, sales, etc.) You can motivate, inspire, and influence a wide range of stakeholders in a complex, global organization with your positive and proactive approach. You are a talented facilitator with hands-on experience in corporate sustainability / ESG, who is experienced in running workshops and securing impact. You thrive working in an international, flexible environment with diverse cultures, mindsets, and backgrounds.

Additionally, you bring:

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience driving sustainability / ESG / sustainable finance projects in the private sector
• Industrial sector experience is a plus
• A Master’s level within e.g., climate change, engineering, environmental science, business administration, etc. 
• Foundational knowledge on sustainability and ESG
• Foundational knowledge on sustainable finance
• Knowledge on circular economy is a plus
• Proficient in office IT tools – PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
• Fluent in verbal and written English is required

As a person, you are characterized as a positive and persuasive communicator, who can translate expert sustainability and ESG knowledge into organizational action. You can work independently and thrive as member of a growing team and global company. You are highly motivated to achieve results through solving complex issues together with stakeholders. Importantly, you are a collaborative team player that supports colleagues.
