Sustainability Reporting Specialist

Sustainability Reporting Specialist

Lundbeck is a global pharmaceutical company based in Copenhagen, Denmark, that is tirelessly dedicated to restoring brain health, so every person can be their best.

We offer a great workplace based on a flat structure, an informal and collaborative working environment grounded upon respect and equality. We employ dedicated colleagues, encourage continuous development, and have a culture where each employee is respected and valued. Together, we create the ideal conditions for you and your job, so we can create better conditions for our patients.

Who and what will you be a part of?

For over a decade, we have reported on our sustainability efforts, the most important challenges and impacts on our business, on stakeholders and the societies in which we operate. In the coming years, companies will see both a steep rise in expectations on transparency and a consolidation in formal frameworks and requirements for corporate sustainability reporting. Therefore, we are establishing a new position as a Sustainability Reporting Specialist.

The position will be in the Corporate Compliance & Sustainability team, responsible for the continuous development of Sustainability Strategy and Lundbeck’s Compliance Program. The team is part of the Corporate Legal, Compliance and Sustainability department reporting to the CFO. We operate as trusted advisors to Lundbeck’s top management, our global business and transform complex requirements into value-creating operational processes for our colleagues.

As a Sustainability Reporting Specialist in Corporate Compliance & Sustainability you will be part of a specialist team of 14 working out of Copenhagen and Krakow. You will work closely with functions such as Corporate Finance, Health Safety & Environment, People & Organisation, Research & Development, Public Affairs and Corporate Communication. You will report to the Senior Sustainability Manager.

What will you be working with?

We are looking for a new colleague who is ready to deliver best-in-class data and information to management for the purpose of sustainability reporting. Our reporting, both internally and externally, is key in providing robust KPIs for Lundbeck’s sustainability efforts and impact, whilst meeting stakeholder’s expectations. We expect you to be able to develop robust reporting processes in collaboration with the relevant functions. You will be responsible for further developing Lundbeck’s approach to impact assessments as outlined in the upcoming EU sustainability reporting standard.

You will work with different tasks, and we can guarantee every day is not the same! Some of your tasks include managing and developing our sustainability data collection processes, including a robust internal and external controlling framework to ensure Lundbeck’s “readiness” for the upcoming CSRD requirements. Furthermore, you will have a key role in ensuring the gradual integration of financial, governance, remuneration and sustainability reporting across our releases, reports, and other channels. In addition, supporting the annual and quarterly sustainability reports are main events in your annual wheel. This works compliments your task of delivering timely data and other content to internal dashboards to our management as it is also included in your key responsibilities. You will have to follow and stay updated on sustainability reporting requirements relevant for Lundbeck and the pharmaceutical industry, as well as support development of new outcome and impact metrics for Lundbeck’s value to society.

Note that the exact role will be determined based on your relevant prior work experience and qualifications.

You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with corporate sustainability and/or financial reporting either in a multinational corporate function or as an advisor, controller, or assurance provider.
  • The below are not requirements, but a plus if you:

  • Navigate with ease within existing sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, GHG Protocols, CDP, SASB,TCFD and Integrated Reporting Framework.
  • Understand how corporations work with guidelines and principles such as OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, UN SDG’s, UN Global Compact Principles
  • Have experience in working with double materiality and estimating financial value of sustainability risks and opportunities
  • Have experience with external assurance
  • Have experience with transforming regulations/standards to effective business processes
  • Your colleagues would describe you as someone who has:

  • An understanding that reporting is not only about data, but also the ability to transform actions into impact and financial value
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and solid project and stakeholder management skills
  • An analytical mind and can handle complex data sets and processes with confidence
  • An excitement for planning, optimizing, and running complicated reporting processes, enjoys structure and has an eye for detail
  • A true passion for your professional work, a positive mind-set, and the natural inclination to take initiative where needed to lift the team as a whole
  • Experience with collaboration and knows it is key to success, recognizes that processes and projects only run smooth and effectively if everyone involved are motivated, engaged, and informed
  • We hope you are intrigued!
