Power System Integration module is a part of Power Solutions, which is where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested, and improved. To put it in short, Vestas Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas – we are shaping the future of modern energy.

You will be part of a key organisation within Vestas by joining our Power System Integration area with core competencies within Power System, Control, and Software Engineering. In Power System Integration, we span across being in very close interaction with the market as well as being involved in various innovation activities with external collaborators while focusing on product development as our main goal. The core outputs within Power System Integration are the design of the electrical infrastructure of Vestas renewable power plants, the Vestas power plant controller and electrical simulation models of wind turbines.
PPC Applications is a department within Power System Integration and focuses mainly on the design and implementation of the Application layer in Vestas' Power Plant Controller, while guaranteeing the module's PPC commodities – PPC release management, continuous integration, laboratory, hybrid plant assets integration, supplier qualification, etc.
The team is very diverse and is working out of both Denmark and Portugal. The team is characterised by having strong collaboration where people support each other and take great pride in their work. Among others you will be working with these challenges:

  • Writing and reviewing of Code, Requirement Specifications, Design Descriptions, Verification Procedures and Reports
  • Design and implementation of Software, Tooling and CI solutions for our Hybrid Power Plants and value chain end users
  • Performance testing in simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink and as well as in our HIL setup, in the lab
  • Design and maintain our software architecture for our Control platform system
  • Create software solutions that comply to cyber security and network standards
  • Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with minimum of 3 years' professional experience
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Competencies

    Experienced with the following competences:

  • Software development and SW architecture design
  • Linux (valued background both Kernel and/or User mode)
  • Test systems and HIL in lab and on-site
  • JIRA, Git and Docker
  • C#, Python and C++
  • MATLAB/Simulink (nice to have)
