Team Lead for Global IT GLOPAS Client Device Team

Lead the team and work with IT in a global context

As team lead you will work in a role vital to the Ramboll’s Global IT department. Your role will be both to act as team lead with focus on leadership and people development, and to be hands on with the operational GLOPAS service delivery. You will be part of the Global IT leadership team in Denmark, and you will have the responsibility for 6 highly skilled team members based in Denmark, Norway & USA. The majority of the team is based at Ramboll’s headquarters in Copenhagen.

Being Team Lead for the GLOPAS team in Global IT is a role that encompasses a lot of exciting tasks and responsibilities such as:

  • Managing resource allocation and ensuring that team members meet their performance goals
  • Leading and developing a newly established and highly technical team
  • Ensuring deliverables of high quality GLOPAS services

On a more technical note the role as Team Lead will touch upon:

  • Standard Portfolio and its configuration
  • Procurement & forecast with Business
  • Planning HW refresh with business  
  • Follow up with logistics vendor/Partner  
  • HW Device Roadmap, Standard Portfolio & Change management and CSI  
  • Management of Non-Standard Portfolio “Service Variations”  
  • Recycle / Re-use process  
  • End user Communication and escalation point
  • HW Management including drivers and updates
  • Managing HW Service agreement

The role is fixed term for 12 months with possibilities for an extension.

You have excellent people leadership skills allowing you to engage and motivate your team and lead through changes. As a person, you are empathetic and supportive – you enjoy working with people and building relationships.  You see IT as your profession and you are able to discuss and provide valuable insight when working on complex and detailed IT assignments with your team members. Moreover, you are good at organising and planning ahead, yet can easily adapt to change when setbacks or pressure occur.

To succeed in the role, we imagine you have:

  • Previous experience of leading a smaller team of 8 – 10 employees
  • Worked in a large multinational organisation
  • ITIL, Lean IT or COBIT training and certifications

Global IT Operations is a highly virtual organization bringing together 61 employees from 7 countries into 7 specialized competency/technical areas, ranging from AD/Exchange, Storage & Backup, Cloud Services to Client Technology and Client devices services, Print Operations and SW/HW Asset Management. GIT Supports Ramboll’s business units globally in more than 300 offices, and are an organization dedicated to client centricity and creating value for our business and its customers, with a sustainable mindset.

The GLOPAS Client device team is a relaunch of an existing Client device team, focusing on & around a new Global PC as a Service (GLOPAS) agreement that Ramboll has entered. GLOPAS brings a standardized platform of 5 PC models and a limited number of service variations to all Ramboll’s approximately 15.000 users, and covers all aspects from choice of PC models, forecasting, procurement, stock & logistics management, return-recycle-reuse, and cost allocation.
