Team Lead Frontend Developer

Linkfire is looking for a Team Lead with a Frontend Development background to support our mission of building the best music marketing platform. You will join us to continue improving our user journey and to develop new and exciting features for the 170+ Million fans which we bring closer to their favourite artists every month.

You will join a company with roots and heart in music. We’re a team of designers, engineers, product managers, and more, drawn from every corner of the globe.

The common denominator?

Music—we live and breathe the stuff.

Working as a Team lead // Front-End Developer @ Linkfire:

We are currently seeking a passionate team lead front-end developer to join our full-stack development teams. Our teams are each in charge of their own product and guided by product objectives.

With your experience in Front-End Development, you will get the chance to take a vital role in shaping our products. We want you to participate in our decision making and to be an integral part of all our SCRUM events.

Do you have ideas and opinions and you're eager to develop features that integrate seamlessly with our scalable system? Are you passionate about finding solutions to non-standard challenges and feel motivated by discovering suitable answers to our client's needs?

This Role:

This role will be leading our Platform and Campaigns team. A core team, that consists of dedicated front-end and back-end developers who each have their focus area, but who also have the possibility to work and collaborate across stacks. You will also have dedicated colleagues for design/UX and QA working alongside you.
The foundation of our application is built on Ember.js. We are currently using Ember.js 3.4 and Ember.js 3.7 and our future colleague is motivated to contribute in our upgrade to Ember Octane and helping us transition to Typescript. Besides our Ember app, we have several microservices built with vue.js. We are actively working on incorporating vue.js components into our Ember application, so you will be working with both frontend frameworks.

We are currently all working remotely, so your location, in the beginning, does not matter. Eventually, we hope for you to join us in Copenhagen or in Lisbon. Both locations have offices and the chance for in-real-life interactions with colleagues, which is a social component we believe positively contributes to strong collaboration.

As a senior front-end developer in the team:

  • In collaboration with the development team, build, maintain and optimize the product and ensure integration with our scalable platform
  • Contribute to our shared components across the product portfolio
  • Guide the decision making for front-end implementations
  • Ensure process optimization within the team
  • Lead and support initiatives towards quality and performance improvements for the team
  • Ensure outstanding technical documentation
  • Cooperate with the PO towards achieving a value-focused release cadence
  • Be a thought leader in the front-end technologies and space.
  • Drive best-practice in- and across-teams

As the team-lead:

  • Operational management of the development team on a daily basis
  • Lead regular 1:1 conversations and support the development of the team
  • Collaborate across teams with other team leads towards improving collaboration, performance and value-creation
  • Support recruiting of new front-end employees and onboard new colleagues to the team

 Abilities and Skills:

  • A few years of front-end development in JavaScript-based frameworks
  • Fluent with JavaScript, SASS, HTML5
  • Existing knowledge of Ember.js and/or vue.js is an advantage
  • Experience with Responsive Webdesign
  • Experience in JavaScript testing frameworks (Mocha, QUnit)
  • Motivated by taking on responsibility and guiding the development
  • Strong execution skills and excellent team player
  • Comfortable with working in an international environment and fluent in English
  • Being familiar with or interested in the Scrum framework
  • Familiar with JSON API is also a plus.

About Linkfire:

We’re a passionate team of music techies on a mission to make music consumption easier for fans, labels, and artists. The music industry is transforming constantly, the market is fragmented and split across many different platforms and services.

Physical sales are going down. Legal downloads and in particular streaming are gaining momentum.

The transformation will continue and the years to come will be very interesting. We want to contribute to the transformation by bringing music and fans closer. Not inside music services, but outside where fans and artists engage. Our approach is to index digital music across music services and provide smart links that route fans directly to the music regardless of their location or which player or platform they use.

It’s complex. We make it simple.

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to create the must-have product for the music industry and ensure that every month over 170+ million music fans get the best experience
  • An open, informal entrepreneurial startup working environment
  • Becoming a part of a high-quality development team working with scaled agile methodology
  • An awesome, international office with colleagues from 20+ different nationalities.
  • We offer an employee warrant scheme and employee health benefits
  • The chance for your work to impact the music consumption of millions of music enthusiasts all over the globe

Music has the unique power to unite us all. It transcends cultures, languages, and borders.

Every day, we help artists from around the world connect with their fans, and we’re immensely proud to count such a diverse range of creators as our users.

We embrace this diversity inside our offices too. At Linkfire, we want you to find a place to belong, and feel encouraged to be your authentic self.

We therefore do not tolerate discrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, disability, ethnicity, national origin, marital status, protected veteran status, genetic information, or any other legally protected classification or status.
