Technical Key Account Manager

Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and focus massively on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. Because of an increased demand for our innovative and intelligent solutions worldwide, we are looking for a Technical Key Account Manager to join our Water Division.

With direct reference to our Senior Vice President, Water, and as a member of the management team you will become part of our Water Division which is focused on delivering high quality solutions and services that creates transparency and reduce water loss. In the position as Technical Key Account Manager you work closely with the commercial key account manager to develop our collaboration and business with group-level key accounts. You will be the technical go-to person for our largest and most complex customer accounts and responsible for the technical product and solution specifications towards these accounts.

Technical Key Account Manager with a strong technical insight
In the newly establish position as Technical Key Account Manager, you will be in close dialogue with large key customers within the waster business. We expect you to be available for your accounts and attend client meetings, as well as proactively reach out to them to discuss new product and solution opportunities. Moreover you will be responsible for inspiring, guiding and challenging the key accounts to ensure they gain the best solutions possible.

More specifically your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Solve complex technical problems in close cooperation with the customer and technical parts of the Kamstrup organization
  • Specify detailed technical requirements and specifications to drive Product Management and our Technology organization
  • Develop a strong technical relationship with the customers
  • Inspire, create and validate technical solutions for our key accounts
  • Act as Project Manager in key customer project and be technical responsible for all products sold to the customer
  • Ensure technical budgets and plans
  • Give input to account plans and business cases

In the job, you can expect 20-30 travel days per year.

Personality matters
You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering and have at least 5 years’ of professional R&D experience.

In addition, it is a requirement that you:

  • Have a strong technical experience an are able to manage several technical disciplines
  • Have a proven track record in driving and solving technical problems
  • Strong project management skill and experience in managing large international projects

If you have experience from the water industry and good network to industry stakeholders it will be seen as an advantage.

As a person you have a customer centricity mindset and are keen on collaborating and developing networks both inside and outside the organization to ensure the best solution to our customers. In addition, you are good at develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges. You process strong communications skills and the ability to collaborate at all level of the organization. You are proactive and able to challenge to ensure the best solutions.

You are fluent in English both written and oral.
