Technical Recruiter (Talent Partner)

We are hiring for our first recruiter, and this role provides a unique opportunity where you can work as an in-house Talent Partner to our clients, and also work with the remote search team at Payne Search.

In this role, you will start as part of the remote recruitment team. We will be a remote team distributed across Europe, working ‘closely’ together as one unit. We work as a team to deliver to all our clients. There will also be the opportunity to work in-house at one of our clients, where you will work in the client office (Copenhagen area), and truly be a part of their team and culture.

Payne Search is an established recruitment company with a core specialism in Digital and IT. We are about to embark on a major change, where we are evolving into a fully-fledged RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) company. Payne Search is focused on recruitment for scale-up companies in Scandinavia. Our new 3 service model consists of:

  • Executive Search
  • Inhouse Recruiter(s)
  • Full RPO Solution

Our ambition is to be the leading RPO provider in Scandinavia, and our growth plans and the journey is going to be an exciting one!

Today we are just a 1-man company, and you will be the first team hire! We aim to grow the team to at least 5 this year, and to 15 in 2022.

We are about to change, in a big way. New name, new services, new branding, new journey. As our first recruiter, you will be key to helping us grow, and we will enjoy this exciting journey together from the start!

Your role:

As Technical Recruiter, you will mostly be recruiting for Digital and IT positions. You will typically be working with around 5 different positions at any time.

Headhunting/Search (50%)

  • Searching and reaching out to candidates is the core of your role. You will use various sites and tools to reach your target audience.
  • Creating well written and personalised mails to candidates.
  • Candidate and company mapping, building talent pipelines.



Recruiting (40%)

  • You will be doing the screening process of candidates and providing the shortlists of candidates to our clients (or our onsite recruiters).
  • You will manage the candidates and communicate throughout the process, from outreach/application received, through to hire/rejection (and beyond).
  • Providing amazing Candidate and Client experience is essential to you. Exceeding expectations and providing an amazing service should be the norm. You are pro-active and reactive!

Social Media (10%)

  • You will be expected to regularly create relevant content for our Social Media channels. These will be posts, articles, and videos.

Who is the ideal candidate for this role? (In our eyes)

While amazing people can come from all kinds of different backgrounds, for our Technical Recruiter role we would expect a few years of recruitment experience as a minimum. Let us summarise a likely great fit:

  • Experienced Recruiter – 2+ years.
  • Proven results for finding and attracting amazing talent and closing many challenging positions - IT or Digital experience preferred.
  • You have a strong interest in Digital. You are very curious about how technology improves human experience. This interest will make your job even more enjoyable because this is what our scale-up clients are doing!
  • You should be self-motivating, and able to work remotely.
  • You are delivery orientated, you will ensure that you deliver within timeframe and quality.
  • You are goal orientated, where you thrive in solving problems. In recruitment, we are responsible for hiring the very best, in relatively short timescales. We take on the roles where talent is in high demand and low supply. You will never give up!

  • Fluent in English. Fluency in another Scandinavian language is a plus, but not a requirement.

Training for you

We want you to become the very best at what you do – Recruitment. Of course, you will be learning on the job every day, and there are always new ways to recruit and things to learn. You also have a great team at Payne Search to support and train each other. Beyond this, you will receive:

  • Professional training in recruitment (sourcing, technology etc)
  • Training/certifications to enable you to be a better recruiter, e.g., interview training, Diversity and Inclusion, Professional Assessments that our clients use, etc.




Location – Copenhagen based

In today’s climate, we all work from home, with occasional meetups when convenient. We are considering getting an office in Copenhagen and working hybrid, likely to meet 3 core days in the office.

For our In-house Talent Recruiters, you will either be based at their office (Copenhagen area), or you will be working remotely. Different clients will have different expectations, but best to be prepared for both.

Equipment and Technology

You should have the tools to do your job, and you should also be proud of your tools! So, you can pick whatever laptop and phone you want.
