Intelligent Advice seeks for Trouw Nutrition (a Nutreco Company) a Technical Specialist Piglets to be responsible for the Danish Market.

The position, challenges and success criteria

In close cooperation with the Account Manager, Denmark you will have the responsibility to expand the Danish market share and boosting sales of pigletfeed and additive portfolio.

You will have to use your talent in giving good advice to the costumers and not only selling on price.

As Technical Specialist Piglets, you are the on farm piglet specialist, working together with farmers, the feed industry, Trouw Nutrition sales and portfolio & specie team.

In addition, your primary tasks will include tasks such as

  • Responsible for contribution in the implementation of marketing driven activities such as campaigns, seminars, workshops, etc.

  • Technical and commercial business partner for our B2B / B2D customers

  • Pro-actively advice farmers and the sales teams of the feed compounder/distributor about the best product application and give feedback on this application, competition, farm management and the feed market in general. You sell (in) direct to farmers.

  • You give presentations and/or trainings to Farmers. You sell (in) direct to farmers.

In the short term, your success will include criteria such as

  • Learning Trouw Nutritions products and brands

  • Learning Trouw Nutritions culture

  • Visiting existing B2B, B2D and farmers

  • Starting pro-actively to advice farmers e.g.

In the longer term, your success will include criteria such as

  • Develop a strong network of key farmers, distributors and feed advisors, consultants and vets

  • Understand the steps in a sales cycle, how to create progress in a sales cycle, how to win in a DMU set-up and make use of technics and equipment etc. resources in different phases of the sales cycle

  • Pro-Active sales to farmers

  • Leading, guiding, coaching and motivating the distributor sales force into the most profitable business areas.

  • Maintain and create a network to farmers and stakeholders within the feed business, to create a pull effect from the market for B2F products and to generate a positive image for all products.

  • Communicate with your Trouw Nutrition colleagues proactively on all developments in the area.

  • Develop sales teams of local distributors, outside of your own area, both on product knowledge and on sales knowledge of B2F products.

Experience and education

You have at least 3-5 years of experience from a similar position. You hold a relevant education on at least bachelor level that fits the demands in this position.

Professional qualifications

  • Experience in pro-actively giving advice and sales on farm level

  • Experienced in presenting, clear communication of the value proposition on farm.

  • Passion to explore and develop new areas for growth and always walks the extra mile

  • Having a keen eye in exploring more opportunities beyond own area of expertise

  • Relevant professional working experience in related business segment

  • Danish and English on a high level in writing and orally
