Technical Superintendent

Technical Superintendent- Mærsk Inspirer 

We are looking for a Technical Superintendent to join our rig team during the project phase, with potential for further employment when the rig starts up operation in Norway late 2019.  By joining Maersk Drilling you will be given opportunities to develop your own career in a dynamic workplace within an exciting company   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • As you will be operating in a truly international environment, you must be fluent in English. Moreover, you are a good communicator with proven relation-building skills, and you could see yourself working in close cooperation with our customers.
  • Supervision of all work concerning the technical upgrade.      
  • In liaison with Rig Manager “MÆRSK INSPIRER”, Installation Management and Human Resources, ensure correct level and competency of technical crew is achieved.
  • Follow up all technical activities related to the start-up process.  
  • Participate in the planning of the activities; managing the interest of Maersk Drilling in respect of the obligations to the Client.  
  • Act as a qualified sparring partner to the Offshore Technical section leaders, in all aspects related to the operation and project.  

 WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

  • You have a theoretical background on Bachelor level as Marine engineer or graduate mechanical engineer, with three to five years of experience within international shipping, offshore work, project management or similar work  
  • As a person you are pro-active and strive to deliver high quality of support to the business  
  • Ensuring that Maintenance updates is incorporated in projects and other tasks where information is important in relation to equipment history and maintenance planning.      
  • Conversant with quality management principles      
  • Conversant with environmental management principles  
  • Proficient in safety management principles  
  • Computer literate  
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels  
  • Safety Training Courses and Medical Certificate in accordance with the requirements stipulated for regular crew by the continental shelf authority for the current operating area
