Tools Development Specialist

Use your technical expertise to develop and implement new tools and spare parts throughout MHI Vestas

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…develop and implement new and existing tools and equipment throughout the Construction and Service departments and be the point of contact for ECR proposers and stakeholders. You will support on new and existing tools to Product Creation and ensure that tools documentation is available and always fulfils legislative requirements. 

You will also be responsible for: 

  • Execute / case handle ECRs from approval to implementation
  • Evaluate feasibility of optimisation ideas and identify most promising options from a business perspective
  • Deliver ECR/project scope specifications of optimisation options for outsourcing and ensure technical support  
  • Enable efficient interfaces among Product Creation, Product Development, Technical Support and Technology R&D
  • On requests, make documentation available for Sourcing and Purchasing colleagues

 

Skills & experience: Our new colleague…

…has at least 5 years of WTG experience, including both technical and design, as well as 2 years of R&D engineering experience. It is important that you have good knowledge of QHSE requirements and standards in the wind industry. To succeed in this position, you should have a continuous improvement mindset, be customer-focused and have good communication skills. We also expect that you are structured, detail-oriented and able to prioritise your tasks.

We expect that you: 

  • Have a degree in Engineering
  • Have experience with and good knowledge of tools and lifting equipment
  • Can identify and involve business stakeholders
  • Are green belt six sigma certified
  • Have project management skills
  • Have strong English skills
