Tools & Equipment Specialist

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…  …be the primary contact person for our installation and service projects, in charge of all aspects of the tools and equipment requirements when we install and maintain offshore wind turbines.    

Your job will be to develop, implement and maintain the tools structure throughout MHI Vestas Construction and Service. You will be the point of contact for both in-house and external stakeholders. You will play a supporting role in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) of new and existing tools and equipment. And it will be your responsibility that tools documentation is available and fulfils legislative requirements.   

Your will also be expected to:  

  • Be in continuous communication with projects and Service Sites, assuring the proper planning and forecasting of the tools and equipment they need  
  • Develop requirements, structure and procedures for our tools and equipment maintenance 
  • Ensure the proper implementation and understanding of our tools structure throughout the value chain  
  • Ensure that relevant MHI Vestas personnel are being trained and educated in the procedures and guidelines related to tools maintenance  
  • Act as interface and support between construction sites, back-office and our Tools & Equipment Hub  

Skills & experience: Our new colleague…  …has experience with and knowledge of tools and lifting equipment. You have practical and theoretical knowledge regarding tools management. You should also be able to identify and involve business stakeholder. Since you will join an international organisation, you are expected to have strong English skills. It would also be an advantage if you have worked in a warehouse environment, especially if this has been within the wind industry.

  • Are a detail-oriented and focused initiator with a structured and logical way of thinking 
  • Are good at maintaining the overview of complex tasks 
  • Possess good cooperation skills and are result and process oriented 
  • Are good at communication with stakeholders from all levels in the organisation 
  • Can think out-of-the-box without losing track of the process
