Training Manager - EMEA (French speaking)

Your mission

Training has a strong heritage and plays a crucial role in Bang & Olufsen. As a training manager, you will play a key role in enabling stores to deliver an experience rated among the best in global retail.

Joining the global Training & Retail Experience team, you will develop and deliver digital and instructor-led commercial training, primarily to French and English speaking markets. More specifically, you will:

  • Be accountable for the education and motivation of country managers, regional training managers, sales managers, area managers, store managers and retail sales staff in mono- and multi-branded stores. This includes the following areas: Product knowledge and the AV industry Onboarding Selling skills Retail management
  • Assist the internal and external Learning Content Development team in creating world class learning content
  • Utilize new technology to fuse the digital and analogue training units into one approach that takes blended learning and webinars to the next level
  • Get commercial training on the agenda across internal functions and ensure the right synergies with company initiatives and strategic direction

    You will join 13 colleagues in Training & Retail Experience, including 3 other Commercial Training Managers EMEA. We are a highly respected team, and together we strive to be the very best at creating world-class learning content, training retail staff and representing the brand at events.

    In this position, your success will be especially dependent upon creating fruitful partnerships with the Head of Training & Retail Experience, The Content development team, the Digital Learning & Media Production team and regional Training Managers. Moreover, you will engage closely with product managers, sales teams and marketing teams as well as with external partners, training companies and media agencies.

    Your location

    The position can be based in either Lyngby in Denmark, Struer in Denmark, or Paris in France – however, you should expect to divide your office time equally between Denmark and France. Furthermore, you will travel approximately 60% of your time, primarily in the EMEA region with occasional global assignments. (Dependant on the development of the Covid-19 situation in the world)

    What you bring

    There are many professional paths to this position. However, it is essential that you are a Trainer by heart with solid experience developing and delivering commercial training in retail. We also expect that you are an expert in audio & video products, and that you have a broad knowledge of Bang & Olufsen products. Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Have thorough knowledge of the retail business, especially retail management.
  • Possess world-class presentation skills – when you talk people listen, whether you are on stage for a large event, are teaching one-on-one or are in front of a camera.
  • Are a strong communicator with a good pedagogical understanding.
  • Have a solid commercial understanding and a strong drive.
  • Are fluent in French and English – additional language skills, such as Danish, Chinese, German, Spanish or any other major language, is an advantage.
