Utility Scale Solar PV Project Manager

Your post would be located in Lyngby, part of the Capital Region of Denmark, and located just a few kms north of Copenhagen.


As part 's Solar team, you will join our global team of experts and will report to Project and Market Director solar energy. You will be leading complex solar projects around the world, organising, and leading the development of our team members and keeping an effective and positive communication with our clients.

On day to day basis, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a suite of technical services to project developers, investors and owners, such Technical Due Diligence, PV plant optimization, project development support, grid interconnection applications, EPC tendering processes, etc.
  • Setting up and management of Owner’s Engineering services: including designs reviews, construction supervision and performance testing
  • Providing consulting services to International Institutions and National Governments in the context of international consulting assignments in the area of solar energy and renewable energy in general
  • While your primary function would be project delivery and project management, you might occasionally be asked to support business development process, by getting involved in the preparation of technical proposals and interaction with sub-consultants.

Excellent English language proficiency is a must, and you are effective in composing complex technical documentation.

    You hold a M.Sc. within Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, but most importantly have an overall understanding of large-scale solar projects, from project development, to design, to construction to commissioning and performance testing with minimum 6 years of experience in similar role.

    Furthermore, you have:

  • Fully conversant with PV technology and able to find optimal plant configurations, including the selection of DC/AC ratios, optimal pitch and tilt, equipment selection
  • Understanding, and capacity to discuss, the basic civil engineering, structural and electrical issues involved in a large-scale solar plant such as drainage, foundation, mechanical design and interconnection compliance
  • Competence in PVSyst modelling tool, including latest versions, experience in other relevant software tools would be a plus (such a PVCase, ETAP, DigSilent, etc.)
  • Experience in preparing technical proposals for consulting and engineering services
  • International experience, having help to deliver projects in various countries
  • Ideally you would have some knowledge of how solar can be blended with Battery Energy Storage System and also how solar can work in distributed generation environments
  • Ideally you would have some experience in floating PV
