Where do you come in?
We are looking for 2 ambitious student assistants for our Supply Chain Excellence department. With a strong focus on streamlining operations worldwide - through LEAN, digitalization, automation and offshoring, Supply Chain Excellence is responsible for major improvement projects in our global service business.

You will become an important member of our Project Management Team in Esbjerg, Denmark. Together with young and high performing colleagues, you will be a part of an international organization comprising production facilities in Denmark, Norway, Bulgaria and Thailand, and a global network of VIKING-owned servicing stations.

Primary tasks and responsibilities

· Identify, validate, execute and follow-up on improvement projects

· Participate in improvement projects incl. implementation visits, following up and ensuring sustainability

· Assist in daily operations (KPI’s, communication, reporting)

· Identify, validate and write business cases

· Ad hoc project tasks

Working hours are approximately 10 – 16 hours a week with the possibility of more during university vacations. Many of our student assistants choose to write their thesis on a project relevant for VIKING.

Starting as soon as possible, you will report to the Program Manager and be part of our R&D, DTV, Q and Supply Chain Excellence department. The working environment is informal, yet professional – and a good sense of humor is certainly welcome.

You should expect to travel 20-30 days a year. You will supplement your studies with a Project Management course at the VIKING Academy.

About you
You are studying a Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant field and you have at least 1½ year before you complete your degree.

We expect that you can speak and write both Danish and English fluently.

As a person, you are energetic, eager to contribute and assist your colleagues in a dynamic and busy atmosphere. You self-driven and committed.
